Planning Commission Recruitment
Deadline to Apply: July 22

The City of Morgan Hill is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the Planning Commission. We are recruiting to fill one unexpired term on this Commission with a term ending June 1, 2025.

Applications will be accepted in the City Clerk’s Office until Friday, July 22, 5:00 p.m. or until filled. Interviews before the City Council are tentatively scheduled for August 3, 5:30 p.m.

Virtual Town Hall: Morgan Hill's Housing Element

The City is in the process of updating the Housing Element of the General Plan for the
2023-2031 period as required by State law. The Housing Element establishes policies and programs to address Morgan Hill's existing and projected housing needs for all economic segments of the community.

The City recently released a draft of the 2023-2031 Housing Element Update for public review and comment. Visit the City's Housing Element Update webpage to access the Draft Housing Element document. Comments will be accepted through July 5 and may be directed to

Youth Action Council Presents Youth Leadership Morgan Hill (YLMH)
July 11 - 15, 2022

YLMH is an annual, four-day leadership program for teens ages 13-18 who are interested in developing critical skills for the working world, including public speaking, professionalism, teamwork, and collaboration. Participation in YLMH is required to apply and interview for YAC's 2022-2023 fiscal year.

YLMH gives teens a sense of empowerment and an opportunity to contribute to and serve their community. The program strives to help teen leaders foster connections with each other in a setting geared specifically to developing leadership skills. Participants will meet City officials, Morgan Hill's Mayor, and other City and community leaders. Youth resources and tools will be provided by local organizations in the mental health, financial, and leadership fields. Scholarships are available. Flyers are available in English and Spanish.
