Schedule Distribution Is This Week

This is a reminder that class schedule distribution for 10th, 11th and 12th graders will be held Tuesday, Aug. 9, in the O'Donnell Gym (the old gym). Please be sure to follow the distribution schedule below:

  • 12th Grade: 9-11 a.m.
  • 11th Grade: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • 10th Grade: 1-3 p.m.

Every student will also receive a new T-shirt to wear on Friday, Aug. 12 for the Kick-Off Rally. Incoming freshmen will receive their schedules and T-shirt during Freshmen Orientation on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

Six Employees Earn Tenure Status

Hollister High School is proud to recognize the six employees who have earned tenure as of the start of this school year. We are doubly proud that five of the six are Baler alumni, as indicated by the "H" on their photos! They are Ellie Burley (Special Education/Life Skills); Bailey Marks (English); Ryan Shorey (Science); Spenser Simmons (American Sign Language); Alex Vasquez (Mental Health & Behavioral Therapist and ERMHS Provider); and Crystal Zavala (English)

Campus Parking Reminders

There have been some updates made to our student and staff parking. We also want to remind you about our pick-up and drop-off locations. Please see below for further details and be on the lookout for flyers sent home regarding this.

Student parking placards are free and can be easily transferred to any vehicle they drive. You can apply online through the school Haybaler Webstore, and they will be ready in the office 48 hours after submitting an application. Please remember that parking in the surrounding streets is prohibited when school is in session.

Designated Student Parking Lots:

  • (Student parking lots are designated for staff and students and are only located on the outer perimeter of the school campus.)
  • Stadium Parking Lot (San Benito Street)
  • CTE / River Parkway Parking Lot (Off River Parkway) First 8 rows are designated for staff only.
  • Science & Robotics Parking Lot (Off River Parkway)
  • Baler Alley Parking Lot (Monterey St or West Street)
  • **NOTE: Tennis Court Parking Lot is for STAFF ONLY.


Designated DROP-OFF and PICK-UP locations:

  • Stadium Parking Lot (San Benito Street) ENTER from San Benito Street at the center entrance and EXIT at the south end of the parking lot. ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ONLY
  • Tennis Courts Parking Lot (Nash Road/West Street) ENTER From Nash Road into the Designated drop-off lane for Drop off only
  • Science & Robotics Parking Lot / ‘W’ Building (Nash Road/River Parkway) Enter from River Parkway to drop off curbside in front of the main gates. Exit onto Nash Road. ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ONLY
  • Baler Alley Parking Lot (Monterey Street or West Street) ENTER from the Monterey Street side and EXIT with a right turn only onto West Street.

Welcome Back Information 

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! All Hollister High School students and families will be mailed a Welcome Back Packet with information about Freshman Orientation, the bell schedule, a list of counselors and the Student Services team, parking and traffic information, and the school dress code policy. Click the links below to access the packet in English and Spanish. It will also be posted on the school website under the "Parents Info" link under the "About" tab.

Back-T0-School Dates To Remember

Save the following dates as the 2022-2023 school year approaches:

  • August 9: Schedule distribution for 10th- to 12th-graders only. Seniors can pick up their schedule between 9 and 11 a.m.; juniors will get theirs between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and sophomores will get their schedule between 1 and 3 p.m.
  • August 10: Freshman Orientation. The Class of 2026 will receive their schedules during orientation.
  • COVID-19 Test Kit Distribution: During schedule distribution, all students will be given a home test kit. While it is not mandatory for a student to test in order to return to school, we continue to follow COVID-19 exposure and positive case protocols, outlined by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
  • August 11: First day of school. Schedules will also be available to all students at 7:30 a.m. in front of the main administration building on Monterey Street.
  • August 12: Kickoff Rally. All students will receive a "Baler STRONG" T-shirt during schedule distribution and are encouraged to wear it to school on this day.
  • August 15-19 Haybaler Support Time and Schoolwide Sessions: Included in the Welcome Back Packet mailer is a schedule of what the first full week of school will look like. Each student's "Schoolwide Session" teacher and classroom will be listed as their 7th Period class on their schedule.
  • August 15 & 16: School pictures. These will not be taken before the start of school, as has been done in the recent past. Photos will be taken during the first full week of school. Picture ordering information will be included in the first day of school packet being mailed home to families.
