A Record-Setting 700 Trees Planted! TreeRific Work, Volunteers!

Thursday, October 12 marks the day of Wildlands Conservancy's largest planting of this sort in the Lehigh Valley- 700 native trees at Saucon Park in Bethlehem. It would not have been possible without the tremendous effort from some of the best kind of people- volunteers! Thank you, volunteers, from our community and with:

-Cedar Crest College

-Just Born Inc.

-KLA Semi Conductors

-Martin Guitar

-Promise Neighborhoods

of the Lehigh Valley

-Saucon Valley Country Club

-Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley

These hundreds of trees will grow up to support habitats, improve water and air quality, reduce erosion, and beautify the landscape.

The Human Behind the Care of Our Animals: Haley D'Agostino!

It's Habitat Month, and who better to teach our Wildlands friends about habitat than our very own animal ambassadors and their boss, Haley D'agostino! Haley came to Wildlands Conservancy in 2019 to work as an an animal care intern while earning her B.A. in biology, and she is now our wildlife education and care coordinator!

The feathered and fuzzy friends Haley cares for join our human environmental educators at nearly two-thirds of our educational programming every year.

"I love that I get to connect people of ALL ages to the wildlife in their area and help them overcome their fears of certain animals," says Haley.

"Bringing our animal ambassadors to our programs allows people to make deeper connections with wildlife and create better, more sustainable habits."

Haley has always had a heart for wildlife, and she warmly says that she feels good about working for an organization with the greater good of protecting their habitat.

Two Ways to Care for Our Animals

Crows, bunnies, and lizards, oh my! Did you know you can support our animal ambassadors by:

-Shopping our Amazon wish list to have their care supplies shipped directly to us

Our Animal Ambassadors are STARS!

Usually, our animal ambassadors visit schools, but students with Parkland TV recently visited our WILD education animals. This video was produced by Mr. Greth, Parkland High School teacher's students:
