June Gate Operations: Friday Night (June 10 and 17), Saturday (June 11 and 18)

To: GPA Valued Customers

Due to asphalt milling and replacement, night gate operations today, June 10, 2022, at Garden City Terminal will be offered at Gate 8 and not Gate 4.
 
From Monday through Thursday, June 13-16, the night gate is open at Gate 4 from 1900 – 2300. 
 
Night gate operations at Garden City Terminal on Friday, June 17, 2022, will again be offered at Gate 8 and not Gate 4. GPA will resume Friday night gate operations at Gate 4 on June 24, 2022.
 
The following gate interchange operating conditions will apply for dry containers only during Friday night gate operations on June 10 and June 17:
 
  • Services will be available at Gate 8 ONLY
  • Hours of operation will be 1900 – 2300
  • Cut-off for both pick-up and drop off tickets will be 2215
  • Perimeter gate will close at 2215 
  • No reefer services are offered on the 1900 – 2300 night gate
  • Otherwise, all motor carriers are welcome
 
The night gate is not open on holidays. Garden City Terminal will continue to offer a night gate through peak season, at which time we will reevaluate and apprise you of any change.

The GPA would like to thank you in advance for your participation in these efforts to maintain efficient throughput for all of our terminal customers. 
Due to asphalt milling and replacement, Saturday gate operations at Garden City Terminal for Saturday, June 11 and June 18, will be offered at Gate 8 and not Gate 4. GPA will resume Saturday gate operations at Gate 4 on June 25, 2022
 
The following gate interchange operating conditions will apply for dry containers only during Saturday gate operations on June 11 and June 18:
 
  • Services will be available at Gate 8 ONLY
  • Hours of operation will be 0600 - 1700 with a flex lunch hour (work through lunch hours 1100 – 1300) 
  • Cut-off for pick-up tickets will be 1600 
  • Cut-off for drop-off tickets will be 1630 
  • Perimeter gate will close at 1630
  • All motor carriers are welcome 
 
Reefer and maintenance services should be authorized and coordinated through the ocean carrier.
