Whole Grain Energy Fuel
Whole Grains Help Fuel Kids: You can help kids (and adults) stay fueled throughout the day with whole grain popcorn. Whole grains provide energy-producing complex carbohydrates. Pack popcorn as a snack to provide the energy kids need to help them stay on track. Popcorn adds fiber to the diet, is naturally low in fat and calories, non-GMO, has no artificial additives or preservatives and is sugar-free. Plus it's a fun, healthy breakfast alternative and recipes like No Fail Caramel Corn and Peanut Butter Popcorn Squares make a great after school treat.
Peanut butter and jelly is a classic pairing that never goes out of style. And now it’s a fun way to jazz up popcorn for both kids and adults alike.

Ingredients
  • 8 cups popcorn
  • 2 tablespoons raspberry jam
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons smooth natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries

Directions
  1. In large bowl, stir together popcorn and jam until evenly coated. Transfer to parchment paper–lined baking sheet.
  2. Add white chocolate chips and peanut butter to a small heatproof bowl set over small saucepan of barely simmering water. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 5 minutes or until smooth and melted.
  3. Drizzle peanut butter mixture over popcorn mixture. Sprinkle with strawberries and cranberries.
  4. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until peanut butter mixture is set; break into pieces to serve. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Myth Busters
BECAUSE ACCURATE JOURNALISM IS IMPORTANT, we continue our campaign to increase awareness of the facts about popcorn. All US popcorn is non-GMO, whether is says it or not on the package. It's also gluten-free and a healthy snack. Microwave popcorn does not contain diacetyl or added PFOAs. Bag manufacturers began removing PFOAs in 2006 and confirm that the grease resistant coating in the majority of microwave popping bags is not produced with PFOA. Read More
