Hurricane Preparedness Starts With Our Own at Sunshine
By Derek Auckland, Florida Operations Manager
June signals the start of Hurricane Season in South Florida and the initiation of our multi-faceted preparation program, which begins with our own employees.

Although preparation and recovery for our customers is a top priority, we know that if our own team members are NOT prepared at home, they can’t be ready to help our customers. Therefore, one of the most important aspects of our continuity plan is to first make sure our staff has their own family and property safe and secured.

Once our employees are safe, secure and prepared, we then turn our full attention to our customers. Sunshine plays an integral role in the preparation, damage control and clean-up phases of many threatening events, including hurricanes.

Leading up to predicted weather related incidents, our staff will coordinate with our customers to provide services that prepare each facility for the storm and to help control damage. Once the storm has passed, we provide emergency cleaning services to return all customer locations back to a normal operational state as quickly as possible.
Our Services
Summer is the Time for Deep Cleaning
Taking Care of Our Clients Needs
Students are out of school for summer break and employees are taking summer vacation, allowing schools and offices to take on deep cleaning projects, such as:

  • Carpet cleaning
  • Floor polishing
  • Pressure cleaning
  • Dust and dirt removal in hard-to-reach places

The Sunshine team is already at work, for example, at several campuses of South Piedmont Community College in North Carolina tackling those jobs best handled with fewer people around, such as floor and pressure cleaning.

For all Sunshine clients we are doing the same, if you’re ready to schedule your deep cleaning project call us today at (954) 772-0884 or reach out to your local Sunshine manager.
Our Team
Sunshine Managers are Lifelong Learners
Kudos to our team for their continued training
A “Shine On” celebration was recently held at our company headquarters to recognize managers and supervisors who completed a rigorous 12-part leadership training program. They studied such topics as communications, trust and time management.

“Our supervisor training helps our employees develop into high-performing leaders,” said Corporate Human Resource Director Krissy Mulder, “through this program, participants are able to improve communication, make better decisions, manage conflict and build stronger teams.”

Throughout Sunshine’s more than 45-year history, we have built up an impressive portfolio of “tough” jobs. For example, we’ve maintained the 80,000-seat stadium at Florida State University for 15 years. We cleaned up oil spills and other nasties at all of the toll booths along Florida’s Turnpike. Plus, we meticulously clean the 1,000+ piece intricate turtle mobile hanging from the ceiling at the Tampa International Airport. In short, there’s no job too tough for our team.
