Aw, Rats!

We have been noticing that rodents are showing up a little more often than usual lately, so we wanted to touch base on the rodent services we offer!

Rodents are common pests here in Southwest Florida, and just like us, they don't like being caught in bad weather!

You'll likely find rodent activity around your home during intense droughts or constant stormy weather. This is because they are trying to look for dryer places to live, or escape intense temperatures.

Rodents will make their home in any safe spot that is easy to get to. This can be inconvenient, because they can fit into spaces as small as half an inch, so even the smallest openings around your home are access points to them.

Their teeth never stop growing, and they will chew through just about anything, causing serious damage to your home. Rodents also spread diseases through their bites, waste, saliva, or even through fleas and ticks that have bitten them.

We do have a rodent bait box service that will help deter the rodent activity around your home.

The boxes we use are discreet and weighted to help keep them in place and not add any eye sores to your property. Our technicians will also be out every 3 months to check on them and refill them so you won't have to worry.

We also offer exclusions, trapping and removal, and cleanup for rodents that have already made their way inside your home.

How Long do Our Treatments Need to Take Effect?

We have recently been receiving calls in regards to some treatments not showing desired results shortly after services were completed, so we would like to provide some clarity on when to expect results following our lawn and household pest treatments.

Most of our treatments take roughly 10-14 days to begin showing results. In the case of baiting any household pests, it is expected to see a spike in activity before it dies down. We recommend waiting 3 weeks to allow our treatments to take full effect and show improvements.

Lawn treatments need 3 weeks before we can do any retreatment. If we attempt to do a retreatment sooner, we risk causing more damage to the lawn rather than fixing the issues.

Our technicians are always keeping an eye out for any issues in the properties that they treat and will schedule follow-up treatments as necessary. If you happen to find any issues in between your services, you can always contact us so we can make sure to take care of it.

This is another reminder that we are in the process of going paperless!

If you have not already, please make sure to provide our office with a valid email that you check often so that we can include you in this eco-friendly transition!
