Photos: Thank you to all our families that came out on Thursday for Popsicles, Playground , and Tie Dye. We had so much fun meeting new friends and enjoying some summer sunshine. Students that missed this event and need to tie dye their First Branch shirt will be invited to do so during the first week of school.

Hello First Branch,

Transportation Update:

We are working hard to make sure we have our transportation needs sorted for the start of the school year. Friday, I spoke with our new bus company Student Transport of Vermont. We have some roads still not safe to travel, and they are working with our admin assistants and bus drivers to see how they can reroute. As soon as we have the routes, we will share them.

Please note to ensure students have enough time to eat breakfast and settle in for the day, the crosstown bus will leave at 7:40 am.

Teacher Welcome Letters:

At this time almost all our welcome letters are out. The last few will be sent by the end of day on Monday (8/27/2023).

8/28/2023: CPS "Meet Mr. Rivers Night and.....

-Pick up your chromebook, charger, bag for the year. This year students will be responsible for bringing then from school to home and vice versa.

-Have a sweet frozen treat!

-Learn about Instrumental Music options.

-Pick up your CPS binder.

Reminders:

Register or Update FamilyID:

Each year all families either register or update their Family ID account per student enrolled in WRVSU schools from preschool-12th grade. Information is then entered into our student information system (Web2School) and from there to Blackboard (school-wide email, text, and phone system). It is imperative this is completed prior to students arriving at schools for communication needs, health needs, and emergency needs. All returning students must also update or register if they have not done so in the past. This is how we find out how to connect with you for all things related to First Branch. Please use the link below and click on the option needed: returning student, new student, or preschool. If you are a returning student and did not do this, you will need to register as a new student.

To further support this, we are raffling off a gift card at every grade level to a family that has completed their family ID and Free and Reduced lunch form by Aug 29th. Winners will be announced on Aug 30th. The grade level with the most students who have completed FamilyID and Free and Reduced Lunch forms will also win a unique experience at school.
