This Sunday

Sometimes the beauty of the scriptures knocks you sideways. Appropriate, given the punch they pack. John's depiction of Mary anointing Jesus, in the home of Lazarus, newly raised from the dead, is a literary turn toward the death we know is coming. It's beautiful and steeped in meaning. We are 2 weeks from Good Friday. These are holy days of gathering and worship..

Please stay for the Amalgamation Consultation Session following worship. Members of St. Matthews and Fort Massey will join us in the sanctuary, to identify and share priorities for WORSHIP. Bring a brown bag lunch, or buy a bowl of soup in support of a Gazan family in great need. See more information in the announcements below.

Spotlight on Saint Andrew’s Community: Affirm Committee

In October 2023, Saint Andrew’s voted unanimously to officially become an Affirming

Congregation.

This was a public commitment to continue to live out our values of acceptance and allyship. It was also a recognition that we have more to do, including learning more about the life experiences of members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and the harms caused in the name of religion.

We are on a journey - it's joyous and celebratory and reflective and committed. We all have work to do.

You are very welcome to join the St. Andrew's Affirm Committee, as an ally or member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Speak to anyone you see in this photo!

Left to Right: Patricia Neves, Beth Power, Kelly Kitamura, Jean Shaw, Susan Alexander.

What a fundraiser!

This night of magic and mentalism is suitable for ages 12 and up.

You may know Robert Lamar from the brilliant show, The Gift, which had a successful theatrical run in 2024. Robert has devoted much of his life to the study and understanding of the conjuring arts, hypnosis, memory training and parapsychology. On April 11th, enjoy this new show, and support our Saint Andrew's Church. Bring your friends!

Tickets are available now in the church office or by clicking the button below.

Everyone needs to eat. That’s why Square Roots exists!

Square Roots aims to redirect perfectly good food that would be thrown away, into the hands of communities. They tackle the issues of food waste and food insecurity at both farms and restaurants.

The world produces enough food to feed EVERY SINGLE PERSON; so why are there people still hungry and unable to access this food? In Canada alone, $31 billion dollars of food each year ends up in landfills or composters and Square Roots wants YOUR help to change these facts.

Square Roots aims to redirect food, that would otherwise go to waste, into the hands of those who would benefit from it most.

Do you PARticipate in the life of Saint Andrew's?

Every year, Saint Andrew's operates on a deficit budget. Our mission is demanding and thriving.

Please prayerfully consider using our regular monthly giving program, PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance).

  • Your monthly gift is automatic.
  • It can be set up to be withdrawn from your bank account or credit card.
  • It’s easy to start and simple to change.

If you are not giving regularly through PAR, please consider taking that step in faith.

If you are giving through PAR, thank you. Please reflect on your giving, and consider an increase.
