Campus Club at Cornell: Opportunities for Women

The Campus Club is a social activity-based group for women founded at Cornell in 1900. It has become a group open to all Ithaca area women, and membership (annual fee of $35) is open year-round.

The heart of the organization is 20+ activity groups, ranging from physical (hiking, yoga, paddling, biking), to mentally stimulating (book groups, games, bridge) to supportive (caregivers group). In addition, they hold lectures and tours which are open to the public, and several social events throughout the year. If you are looking to learn something new, such as birding, or explore the region through day trips, all in the company of local women, this is the group for you.

When you sign up for an activity group, the leader will include you on the email list; you will receive notice of the group’s plans, and you can attend when you have the time and interest to do so. This is the kind of flexibility that fits well into busy, or not-so-busy retirement plans.

Come meet and socialize with Campus Club at their June Social on Saturday, June 8, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the large pavilion at Stewart Park. Families are welcome.

Explore all of the activity groups, look at their past and future program plans, and join the club at their website.
