Board of Education Regular Meeting on August 8
At the August 8 meeting, the Shaker Heights Board of Education approved the Akron-based GPD Group for design and architectural services in the conversion of the former Ludlow Elementary School into a PreKindergarten center.
The District is now in the process of negotiating a contract with GPD that will likely be brought back to the Board in September. Additionally, the Board approved the District’s request to seek a request for qualifications (RFQ) for construction manager at risk for the project. That RFQ will be advertised after a contract with GPD has been reached.
The goal is to open Ludlow for an expanded PreKindergarten program in the fall of 2025.
