What's happening this week at St. Paul's

Upcoming Events & News

New Directory: The directory is ready! Copies will be available in the Narthex to pick up throughout the month. 


Discretionary Fund: This Sunday the loose plate offering (gifts not designated for pledges, building, etc.) will be deposited into the Rector’s Discretionary Fund. Fr. Jim uses this fund to assist people who come to our church in need of help, to purchase items for the Community Meals as needed, and to support charitable causes. 


Office Closed: Monday, September 4th, the office will be closed in observance of the holiday. Katie will resume normal hours Tuesday and will also be available Friday, September 8th.


Pub Theology: Pub Theology will be at Fox Creek BBQ on Thursday, September 14th at 6:00pm.



Choral Evensong: Next Evensong will be Sunday, September 24th.


Reminder from the Office: Please keep in mind to lock doors (inside when noted and outside) behind you and to make sure appliances are turned off if you use anything in the church or kitchen. Thank you, Katie.


Coffee Hour: After the service, everyone is invited to the Parish House (two lefts at the bottom of the steps) for refreshments and fellowship. We promise you will still be able to beat the Baptists and Methodists to lunch afterwards.


Bible Study: Kristian Ameigh is leading a bible study that began on Sunday, July 9th at 2pm. Material will be obtained from The Gospel According to Improv by Les Carpenter; you are not required to purchase the book to attend the study. This bible study will end on Sunday, September 3rd.  


Altar Flowers: Volunteers to provide flowers for the upcoming Sunday is needed: September 24th. Please contact Jo Cargill-Krug to reserve this date.


Care Team Collection: The Care Team will be collecting personal care items to be distributed. There will be a basket to collect items at the front of the church as well as a box in the church office. Items to bring can include: travel size toothpaste and toothbrushes, dental floss, Kleenex, soap, shampoo, hand sanitizer, wipes, washcloths, deodorant, sunscreen, bug spray, feminine hygiene products and other toiletries.


Blessing Box: Donations for non-perishable food items are needed for our Blessing Box, previously known as the Little Library. Foods that are ready to eat and pop top items are suggested. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.


Lector Signup: There will be a signup sheet in the Narthex for members to sign up to be a lector for the 10:30 services in the fall; you can also contact Sarah Harmon to be added to the list. Training will be held after Labor Day before rotation begins. 

St. Paul’s Prayer List:


Prayer requests will stay on the Parish Prayer List for four weeks with the exception of parishioners with ongoing needs. If you wish a prayer request to remain on the list, please call the office to renew the request.
