How Is Your Family Participating in the Walk-a-Thon?

The Walk-a-Thon is this Friday, April 4, 9am-12pm!

- VOLUNTEER - It's fun and easy. No experience required! We especially need volunteers 11:00-12:00.

- Donate bake sale items, chips, and drinks, or lend coolers. Sign up here.

- Pledge money on a flat-rate or per-lap basis

- Come cheer on your students, walk laps with them, and be part of this wonderful community event!

Auction Bidding is Open Now

Bid now for your chance to win experiences with your teacher, lunch with the principal, museum passes, handmade art, gift certificates for kids activities, and more! Cherry Chase teachers, staff, and community members have donated some great prizes to our auction. 

Bidding will close Friday, April 4 at 9pm.

Ticket Sales for Walk-A-Thon Food

Beat the crowds and pick up your walk-a-thon tickets early. Buy tickets or pick up pre-orders at the blue tables Wednesday and Thursday mornings at drop off and at the Ice Cream Social on Thursday 5:15-6:00. 

Online sales will close Thursday, April 3 at 5pm.

Open House Ice Cream Social

The Cherry Chase PTA will be hosting an Ice Cream Social right before Open House. Join us near the Multi on Thursday, April 3, 5:15-6:00, while supplies last. Please finish your treats before visiting the classrooms.

Scholastic Book Fair This Week

The Cherry Chase Scholastic Book Fair is open this week from Monday, March 31, 2025 through Friday, April 4, 2025. It will be open daily from 2:30pm to 3:30pm for everyone.

This event supports our school and classroom libraries (check out your teacher's wish list!). Your help is crucial to making the book fair a success. We will need assistance setting up and operating the cash registers and helping students and families navigate the fair. We will also need your support to take everything down in the end. Since up to volunteer here

All Classes will visit the Book Fair individually from March 31 to April 4 (check with your teacher for your child’s assigned day). In addition, the Book Fair will be open during Open House on Thursday, April 3, from 5–8 p.m.

Like last year, we encourage families to use the E-wallet system to purchase books for their children.

OTHER ORGANIZATION UPDATE

You're Invited: Project Cornerstone Parent Workshop on Bullying Preventon

All Sunnyvale School District parents are invited to a free Project Cornerstone workshop focused on Bullying Prevention. This session will provide practical tools to support students and reinforce the lessons from our Project Cornerstone books.

When: Wednesday, April 9, 6:15–7:45 p.m.

Where: Fairwood Elementary School
