Wild daisies growing in Black Wind Farm pastures
Summer is typically a time when things slow down at Iroquois Valley – folks are in the field, the pipeline slows, and we prepare for our annual shareholders' meeting and public benefit report release. This year, our pipeline remains as active as ever with five outstanding commitments to farmers totaling just over $3M. We are actively seeking new investors to fund the promising opportunities deeper in our pipeline. For those considering an investment into our equity or debt offerings, we’d like to highlight a recent farmland investment as well as a commitment set to close in the coming months. Investments in Iroquois Valley provide capital for the deals in our pipeline and provide exposure to our diversified portfolio of organic and transitioning farmland assets.

Black Wind Farm: An investment in a veteran farmer's journey to farmland ownership in New York
We are so proud to welcome Justin Butts to our portfolio. Justin is a first-generation, Navy veteran farmer with extensive and varied experience – he’s a farmer, a small business owner, and a chef.
Eli's Ridge: Pasture & forest-raised livestock in the heart of North Carolina
Shawn and Jennifer Hatley are fourth-generation farmers in Stanly County who raise sheep, pigs, cows, ducks, and chickens with their sons, Blake and Eli. We approved financing for the Hatleys to purchase a 108-acre property by the end of August, marking what will be Iroquois Valley’s first investment in North Carolina.
Annual Shareholders' Meeting & Farm Tour
Iroquois Valley shareholders and their financial advisors are invited to our annual shareholders' meeting on Friday, August 26th, 2022. The meeting will be held virtually via a Zoom webinar. We encourage our broad base of 700+ investors to participate. Register for the webinar here. Shareholders or their advisors should have received a proxy directly via email – please reach out to coordinator@iroquoisvalleyfarms.com if you have not received your proxy or if you are having trouble accessing the voting form.
We’re so excited to host a farm field day for investors Saturday, August 27th, the day after the annual meeting. The day will begin at Rock Creek Farm in Peotone, IL with a tour of our agroforestry projects, including our nearly 10,000 tree windbreak. From there, we’ll head to Tulip Tree Gardens, one of our portfolio farms, that raises animals, vegetables, and hemp. Our final stop will be at Sumac Creek farm, another portfolio farm, for a tour and dinner. We’ve missed gathering with our investor community and look forward to getting on the land with you. Please reach out to invest@iroquoisvalleyfarms.com with questions about this event. Register here to reserve your spot.

CONNECTING FARMERS, COMMUNITIES, AND INVESTORS SINCE 2007

As a corporate guideline, we do not look for specific farmland to purchase or finance. We develop relationships with farmers who want to grow their businesses. We move forward when we have a ready, willing, and able farmer.
