Veronica Bloomer Bat Mitzvah

My name is Veronica Bloomer and I will become Bat Mitzvah on February 11th, 2023. My family and I are all very excited. We have been in the area for almost 4 years and are so happy to be a part of the Jewish community here. Everyone has been so wonderful in welcoming us.

I am currently in 7th grade at Sims Middle School. I enjoy writing, reading, and painting. Both painting and writing allow me to express myself, which is why I like them so much. I also really love animals, and donate to the Humane Society. My Bat Mitzvah Project will be collecting food and treats for the local animal shelter.

My journey to Bat Mitzvah has definitely been long and arduous, but very rewarding. Regularly attending Shabbat services on Friday night, Saturday morning at B’nai Israel, and going to Sunday school may have been hectic but it is worth it to be able to see myself becoming a Jewish woman. I’m thankful to my family and everyone who’s helped me to reach this point. I consider myself lucky to be part of both Temple Beth El and B’nai Israel, having come from a large Jewish community in South Florida.

I’m so excited to have all of you hopefully join me at Temple Beth El for Friday night Shabbat services and at B’nai Israel on Saturday for a combined service on this joyous and important occasion. Please join us for Kiddush luncheon following the service.
