Sea Pines Drive Infrastructure Repair Project to Resume this Fall

Phase 3 of the Sea Pines Drive infrastructure repair project is scheduled to begin early September 2022 with an estimated completion time of Spring 2023. To learn more about Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project please click here.   Project work zones will include the below roadways:   1.2 miles of Sea Pines Drive from Lighthouse Road to Baynard Cove Road Red Cardinal Road - Drainage construction and resurfacing/paving roadway Snowy Egret Road - Drainage construction and resurfacing/paving roadway Wagon Road - Drainage construction and resurfacing/paving roadway Sandhill Crane Road - Resurfacing/paving roadway   Project work along Sea Pines Drive will include:   Stormwater drainage upgrades and replacement Roadway resurfacing and realigning Realignment and widening of leisure trials Addition of pedestrian crosswalks and curbing in select areas Reconstruction of the leisure trail pedestrian timber bridge at Beachmarker #24. Safety Precautions Regarding Alligators in our Community:

Assume every body of water contains an alligator Stay at least 60 feet (4 car lengths) away from alligators Alligators are ambush predators and can move faster than you or your pets Keep pets and children away from water’s edge Swimming or wading is prohibited in Sea Pines’ waterways Feeding or harassing alligators is dangerous and illegal When fishing or crabbing do not throw used bait or fish parts into the water   Digital Guide to Living with Alligators: Click here to view/print   To report an aggressive or nuisance alligator or to report any safety concerns regarding alligators, please immediately contact the Sea Pines Security Department Dispatch Phone Line at 843.671.7170.

Security/Gate Access Software Program Update    Sea Pines CSA is in the process of transitioning to a new safety and security software system called CSA360, which will improve the efficiency of our Safety and Security Operations. This new software will also include a new gate pass system that will provide online access for pass requests.   This new system is being implemented in a phased approach, and we have successfully launched the phases for our Sea Pines Security Patrol and Dispatch operations. The next phases will be rolled out in the coming months, and we look forward to keeping the community updated as we move through the program implementation.

Sea Pines CSA Mosquito Treatment   Our next mosquito treatment will take place on Tuesday, August 23rd during overnight hours, weather permitting. Tree Care Management   Tree trimming in various locations around the community will continue through the week of August 22nd, weather permitting.

Stormwater Ditch Cleaning   Ditch cleanout and resloping on Otter Road (pictured) began this week and will continue through the week of August 22nd, weather permitting. Stormwater Maintenance   Line jetting on Otter Road will begin the week of August 22nd, weather permitting. This process cleans sediment from drainage pipes to improve flow.

Asphalt Repairs Asphalt repairs will occur from August 22nd through August 27th along the roads listed below, weather permitting. Sea Pines CSA's contractor will have flagmen present to control traffic, as needed.

Developed Property Landscaping Maintenance Reminders

Roofs, gutters, driveways, and other hard surfaces shall be cleared of pine straw and other vegetative debris with reasonable frequency so that there is no accumulated buildup. Fallen leaves are permitted as landscaping ground cover, but shall be maintained to a neat, clean appearance. Limbs, sticks, fronds, fallen leaves (not used as ground cover of bedded areas) and other such vegetative debris shall be removed from the Property   To report a concern to the LUM department please use the online form at https://www.seapinesliving.com/land-use-management-submission-request/

Sea Pines CSA Community Shredding Event

When: Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 8:30 – 11:00 AM Where: Sea Pines Center Parking Lot, 71 Lighthouse Lane   This event is open to all property owners on a first come, first-serve basis. Please review the following: Please do not pull up to the truck and drop bins/bags off, everyone will need to get in line. If you need assistance, please park your car and an attendant will come over. Please be prepared with your documents ahead of time. Staples and paper clips may remain on your documents; the documents must be removed from binders.
