The four columns on this split entry home gave it a colonial look. Because of the front door's awkward placement and the sidewalks off-center location, the home lacked symmetry and balance.

AFTER

Without moving the location of the front door, it now has a more inviting entrance. To balance the look, I put a wood accent feature centered between the two middle columns. Even though the door is still off-centered in this area, it is balanced with the lights, house numbers and potted plant. Bringing the sidewalk up to the front door is the final step to creating a grand entry.

Sometimes a few thousand well placed dollars can increase
