Dear Miramonte Community, | |
We invite all students, parents, families, and community members to join us and sign up for our annual Campus Beautification Day on Saturday, May 3rd! Students can earn volunteer hours by participating, and it's a fun, meaningful way for families to support Miramonte together—even just for a couple of hours. A big thank you to our Parents’ Club for organizing this special event to bring us together and give our campus a little extra TLC!
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, it’s common for student stress levels to rise. From high-stakes testing—including CAASPP, AP exams, Finals, and more—to the pressures of the college admissions process and end-of-year transitions, this time can feel overwhelming. The Miramonte Wellness Center is located in our Student Union and is available for all students throughout the day. If you know a student who could benefit from some extra care or intentional support, please don’t hesitate to refer them to our Wellness Team. Additionally, our teachers are continually working to embed executive functioning strategies and stress management activities into their classes every week.
Today after school our Swim & Dive program is hosting Las Lomas for a league meet at 4:00pm and Men’s Lacrosse has a home game at 7:00pm vs Sacred Heart. Please check out all of our upcoming spring games, meets, and matches at our athletics website, powered by the Miramonte Boosters Club. Good luck and Go Mats!

Happy Friday Miramonte Families,
| |
Please join us Wednesday, April 16, at 11:15 a.m. in the Student Union. In addition to our PC Board and Principal updates we will be joined by our Associate Superintendent, John Walker. He will be discussing AI in AUHSD and covering how it is being integrated into schools, the implications for our students, and the various opportunities and challenges it presents in the educational landscape. This is one of the most relevant and evolving topics impacting our students today. Don't miss the opportunity to share your thoughts and be part of an important conversation on how technology is shaping the future of learning. He will also provide an update on our Local Control and Accountability Plan. The ‘LCAP’ is a three-year plan that describes the District’s goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes.
Also, a big congratulations to our Miramonte Latin students! Through their hard work and enthusiasm, the Miramonte delegation earned 1st Place overall in the large high school category and took home 1st Place in Spirit at the state Latin Convention — a remarkable achievement! We’re also very proud to share our beloved Latin teacher Matt "Magister" Davis will be honored tonight at the ONE event for his extraordinary dedication to his students and our school community. I hope to see you tonight as we celebrate Miramonte and all our schools with the Orinda Network for Education, our Orinda community, and the people who make it so special!
Stay up to date with all Parents' Club activities by visiting our website. As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns.

We need your support
Unfortunately, we haven’t met our fundraising goal of $1,302,000, and only 55% of Miramonte families have donated to ONE-Miramonte this year.
We need support from all Miramonte families to meet our goal – it’s not too late to give! Donations to ONE-Miramonte help fund every academic class and program at our school and are spent this school year.
We understand that this is a time of economic uncertainty, and the per-student ask is not affordable for all families. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated and are put to good use this year to benefit every Miramonte student – even yours!
Thank you for your support!

Miramonte's Theater and Music Departments will present Hadestown: Teen Edition on April 18, 19, 24, and 25
Hadestown: Teen Edition is a full-length adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell’s Hadestown (winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards, including Best New Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album), modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences.
This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and Lady Persephone – Hadestown: Teen Edition invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
Don’t wait for the fates to decide—purchase your tickets to Hadestown: Teen Edition here.
