Details for the May Presbytery Gathering

Change is swirling around us and in us! Some of it is welcome, some of it seems strange and unsettling. At our February Presbytery Gathering, we spent time with Dr. Corey Schlosser-Hall. We learned about positioning ourselves for the future, revitalization, and naming our church assets. We are excited to have him return in May - in person!

We will also worship together, celebrate Minister Ordination Anniversaries and the retirement of Rev. Jennifer (Jennie) Clark, and welcome new members of the presbytery. There will be a first read of a proposed 2025 Minimum Medical Benefits Policy. Following the Gathering we will also have a workshop on the New Benefit Plan from the Board of Pension led by Rev. Dr. Emily Chudy, Board of Pension Church Consultant.

The May In-Person Gathering is at Central Presbyterian Church, Downingtown, PA at 9:30 am. The meeting will be an online Zoom option only for those with medical excuses. If you need an excuse, please contact christine@donegalpby.org.

How to Plan and Lead a Healing Funeral Service.

Written by Rev. Keith Sundberg. Keith was APCE's National Educator of the Year a few years back. He has a desire to share his understanding and experience of walking through the grief and celebration of life process with families through the eyes of a pastor and funeral director, giving years of insight not often taught us through seminary education. Ketih offers this resource free of charge for all who find it helpful. He asked that EAPCE & APCE folks share it with our respective presbyteries and anyone who it could help.
