A Message From Your Grand Knight

Hello Brothers,

Please join us at our next business meeting on:

Thursday, November 9

8 PM

Food and fellowship will follow, as always. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Worthy Recorder, PGK Steve Merschen, was awarded the Council 486 Knight of the Month for his outstanding efforts, planning, and successful execution of the Global Wheelchair Mission program. Steve's hard work leading up to the delivery of the wheelchairs and his dedication to the retired priests of the Archdiocese of New York is a shining example of the charity and service for which the Knight of Columbus organization stands. Great job, Steve -- and thank you to all those who assisted with the pickup and delivery of the wheelchairs.

The St. Joseph's Christmas Bazaar will be held this Saturday, November 11, from 9 AM to 3 PM. Those organizing the event have asked for volunteers to assist with setup and cleanup. If you're available and willing to lend your time on Saturday, please let me know or contact Worthy PGK Kevin St. Pierre.

Lastly, CONGRATULATIONS to all Council Officers installed for the 2023-24 Columbian year. And a HUGE thank you again to Lisa Bedoski for catering the delicious food and for providing our council and families with an incredible Officer Installation reception!

Blessed Fr. Michael J. McGivney, pray for us.

Vivat Jesus,

Jonathan Geissler, GK

Questioning God When Bad Things Happen

Fr. Mark-Mary encourages us to acknowledge that we often subject God to scrutiny in our thoughts and hearts. We find ourselves in a perpetual evaluation of his goodness and authenticity when facing daily challenges.

In Case You Missed It

Blessed Mother Statue Restoration

Kudos to Worthy Trustee John Maney, living by the words of 1 Peter 4:10-11:

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as faithful stewards of God’s grace ... in order that in everything, God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him belong glory and dominion forever and ever."

John restored this Blessed Mother statue for Linda Geissler (Worthy GK Jonathan's mother). John, may our Lord and Mother Mary reward you for your incredible work.
