Join the choir for the Ordination and Consecration of the Rev. Jeffrey Mello
Saturday, October 15 at the Connecticut Convention Center
Greetings!

I’m writing on behalf of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut (ECCT) with regard to the service of Ordination and Consecration of our XVI Bishop Diocesan, the Rev. Jeffrey Mello. Taking place on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, this service will feature a wide variety of music and aims to represent as much of ECCT as possible. One of the central components of the music in this service will be a large, ad hoc choir comprising singers from all over the diocese. ECCT expects upwards of 1,500 people to attend the service, and we are hoping to gather as many singers as possible. Therefore, please could you share this exciting opportunity with your choir and encourage them to participate?

We are particularly interested in featuring children in this choral gathering, and so there will be a few items of music led by the children’s choir. All those in 8th-grade or younger will belong to the children’s choir, and high-schoolers and older will belong to the main SATB choir. Each church should be responsible for the transportation and chaperoning of its own children & youth, however please know that ECCT can help with children & youth transportation costs if that is an obstacle to their participating in this event.
