The Jefferson PTA supports the school by offering a number of enrichment activities, family social gatherings, and volunteer opportunities that are available to all Jefferson students and families.

One way to support our school and show our children how we value their learning and bring us all is together is to join the PTA!

One membership costs $15 and all dues are 100% tax deductible (TAX ID 95-6204301).

Every student MUST have a personal emergency kit (including a Disaster Preparedness Form) as part of the Redondo Beach Unified School District’s disaster preparedness plan.

If your child attends the CDC program, you must submit a second kit to CDC.

 

There are three ways you can insure an emergency kit for your child.

• Purchase one from MORE PREPARED. This is a Jefferson Fundraiser

• Make one on your own (see list below).

• Purchase from another retail supplier.

To add the Jefferson calendar to your phone:

Step 1: Write down or copy and paste the iCal URL for the Jefferson PTA Google Calendar -

https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/jeffelem.pta%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics

Step 2: Tap the "Settings" icon, then scroll down and select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars."

Step 3: Tap "Add Account" and select "Other".

Step 4: Select the "Add Subscribed Calendar" option.

Step 5: Fill in our Google Calendar URL (from step 1) in the Server box and click "Next." Change any settings you see fit before saving the calendar. You do not need a username or password.



Step 5: Toggle your view of the calendar by opening the Calendar app and tapping "Calendars" in the upper left corner. Tap Jefferson PTA to either display or remove calendar events.

RBEF CORNER

Congratulations to our Jefferson teacher, Ms. Yabes, who received an RBEF Teacher Grant for the "Learning Through Play" project.

The goal of the project is to build a classroom that is conducive to play-based learning so students will be engaged and take ownership of their own learning.

Overall, RBEF funded over $60,000 in teacher grants this year. Congratulations to all RBUSD teachers who had received the RBEF Innovative mini-grants during the 2022-2023 school year. For more information: https://www.rbef.org/teacher-grants/

The RBEF Investor Drive will take place between September 5 - September 22.
