Wear red on Sunday, May 19

Pentecost (also called Whit Sunday, Whitsunday or Whitsun) is a Christian holiday which takes place on the 49th day (50th day when inclusive counting is used) after Easter Sunday. It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon Mary, mother of Jesus and the Apostles of Jesus while they were in Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks, as described in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:1–31).

Help us celebrate the coming of the Spirit by wearing red this Sunday, May 19.

Shelly Crilly fund

Please consider making a donation to the family of Shelly Crilly to help with the expenses incurred from her unexpected death. You may write a personal check with "Crilly Fund" in the memo line and leave the check in the church office.

Antiques Show Meeting Sunday, May 19

Date Change Due to Mother’s Day Celebrations!

Please join us for our final planning meeting on Sunday, May 19 at 11:30am. We promise to keep it brief! This an opportunity for committee chairs to ask questions and give important updates.

We still have many volunteer opportunities during the show from ticket sellers and takers, gazebo, harvest cupboard, lunch tent, opening night, and more! Janet Laudeman has graciously agreed to handle general staffing and will be calling on parishioners to sign up for a shift(s) on Opening Night and/or during the show. Please think and pray about

how you can best use your time to help us make this year’s fundraiser a huge success.

It’s not too late to submit Antique Show Gala Silent Auction items for donation for our Opening Night event on Wednesday, May 29th, 6-9pm. Popular items include personal creations such as jewelry and culinary specialties, social experiences like wine-tasting events and group dinners, sports and theater tickets, luxury home items and much more! If you would like to donate, please contact Mary Deley at mary_deley@yahoo.com. We are happy to coordinate, pick up, and provide you with a tax-deductible donation statement.

Thank you all for sharing your time and many talents!
