Federation News & Notes
Weekly highlights that keep our community informed, inspired, and connected to Jewish life in Delaware and the Brandywine Valley, in Israel, and around the world

Dear Nicole,

Good morning. Please find below a weekly summary of community activities...

RE: Lion of Judah Brunch

Federation Past-President, Suzanne Grant, hosted our Lion of Judah Brunch on Tuesday honoring community leader Rhoda Dombchik.

The Woman’s Philanthropy Division of the Jewish Federation of Delaware inspires ALL women in our community to give to their full potential – by sharing their time, knowledge, skills and financial commitment with others.

RE: 2022 Candidates Forum

Last night, Federation's Jewish Community Relations Committee (JCRC) and the Wilmington Chapter of Hadassah organized the 2022 Candidates Forum at Congregation Beth Emeth.

Special thanks to CBE for hosting, to Michael Sigman for moderating, JCRC Chair Josh Schoenberg, JCRC Director Rabbi Ellen Bernhardt, Sylvia Wagman of Hadassah, Federation's Nicole Terranova and Rachel Garofolo, and Chris Osbourn/ClearPixel Agency.

RE: Federation Lands Summit Creative Award

Jewish Federation of Delaware is the proud recipient of a Bronze Award for our We Grow Stronger TOGETHER public service campaign in the Summit Creative Awards.

Over the past 28 years, the Summit Awards has firmly established itself as one of the premier arbiters of creative excellence. Entries in 18 major categories are judged against a stringent set of standards.

We Grow Stronger TOGETHER.

Shabbat Shalom ,

Seth J. Katzen

President & CEO

One of the most impactful aspects of our collective strength is our capacity to respond to major crises. When Russia invaded Ukraine six months ago, Federations sprang into action. Not since the efforts to save Soviet Jewry have Jewish institutions around the world been called upon to save so many lives, aid so many refugees, and enable so many to make Aliyah.
