Change in Requirements for Assigned Behavioral Health Clinic for Out of County Placed DCS CHP Enrolled Youth



Applicable to:  Mercy Care DCS CHP

Effective August 8, 2022, DCS CHP enrolled youth will no longer be required to be connected to an Assigned Behavioral Health Clinic (ABHC) in the Court of Jurisdiction unless it makes clinical sense for the child to be connected with an ABHC in the Court of Jurisdiction. 

For Integrated Rapid Response (IRR) Providers, the IRR Provider will now refer directly to an ABHC in the area that the child is placed as opposed to connecting the youth to an ABHC in the Court of Jurisdiction.  Mercy Care will be updating our Provider Manual to reflect this change.
