Bib Pick Up: Any athlete who has not received their bib number in the mail may pick-up their bib in Franklin Park on Sunday, November 12 prior to the race. Please be sure to bring a government issued photo ID.

Arrive Early: Arrive at Franklin Park with plenty of time to spare before the 8:00 a.m. start. Transportation information can be found below.

There is no parking within Franklin Park on race day. The recommended way to get to the start line in Franklin Park is to use the B.A.A. shuttle service from Copley Square or Forest Hills MBTA stop.

The B.A.A. will provide free, round-trip shuttles from both Copley Square in downtown Boston and Forest Hills MBTA station to the start/finish area in Franklin Park from 5:30 a.m. – 7:15 a.m.

Runners utilizing ride shares or personal vehicles should be dropped off at Seaver Street between Humboldt Ave and Elm Hill Ave.

For parking near the shuttle bus location, we suggested the 100 Clarendon Street Garage, which is just two blocks away from the shuttle pick-up at Copley Square.

The 2023 B.A.A. Half Marathon is here! Coach Sarah Healy shares some training and racing tips to think about before race day to help you perform at your best:

Plan your race strategy. Look at the course map and think about how to pace yourself to meet your race goal. The B.A.A. Half Marathon is a rolling out and back course that is primarily downhill for the first half, with more uphill on the way back; pace yourself accordingly.

Plan race fueling. For the B.A.A. Half Marathon: water is available every other mile from mile 2, lemon-lime Gatorade Endurance will be available at mile 6, 9 and 11, and Maurten Hydrogel will be available around mile 6. Try these products before race day so your body is used to them.

Don’t go out too fast. Because the course is primarily downhill until 10k, the early pace might feel easier than expected. Check your km and/or mile splits and make sure you are sticking to your goal pace.

Don’t make up for lost time. Do not try to fit in extra training to make up for lost training due to illness, etc. It is more beneficial to your performance to rest and fuel properly.

Have fun! The B.A.A. Half Marathon is a beautiful course along Boston’s Emerald Necklace. Take in the experience and enjoy the energy of the crowd. Take pride in your accomplishment and have an awesome time out there!
