Mediumship Seminar
Brian spent three days in a mediumship seminar put on by Eamonn Downey. The first day was all trance work using new techniques to get to the levels needed. Day two involved evidential mediumship. We used the same techniques as in trance, but with a different objective, to deeply connect to someone passed and present evidence and a message. The final day was soul work. This is were the we connected to our souls and used them to connect to other people’s souls to gather information about them.
It was a unique three days with lots of good, skill strengthening information and practice.

That Music in Your Head
I’m always hearing music, even after I turn off the radio. We’ve all had “that song” that gets stuck in our heads that we can’t seem to get rid of. But my music seems to be true to whatever I need.
I remember a mediumship demonstration, the second we had done. The first had gone horribly wrong with very little information coming through. I was worried this one would go the same way, but then I heard a song in my head… “I’ll Be There” by the Four Tops, and I knew everything would be fine. This was spirit telling me that things would go well.
If I am facing a challenging day, I’ll wake up to Tony O’Connor’s “Mariner”, or some other calming music. As my needs change, the music changes to fit it, or to help it. It is spirit’s way of telling me that they are there. It is their way of helping me through a situation.
What do you hear when you hear music? Are you calming to classical, stepping to a Sousa march, or just walking to the beat of a different drum? Music is a language all its own, and in that, it talks to you, makes you calm, helps you relax, or helps you get motivated.
What are you playing right now? How does it make you feel? What is it telling you? Listen, think about it, and find the message.

Magic
I was in a mediumship seminar the other week over Zoom. We were doing straight mediumship, trance work, and soul work. Some of the stuff was new to me, and it caused me a little trepidation, but then I heard two songs going through my head, and they reinforced things I have been taught for some time.
The first song was America’s “You Can Do Magic”. The line that kept repeating was “You can do magic. You can have anything that you desire.” Ahh, yes. My gifts as a medium and energy worker are magic, and this was a good reminder. But when we think about these lines, it does not refer just to an energy worker, it refers to everyone, because everyone is magic. Everyone has the ability to bring to them what they want.
We have been told that we shape our own reality, and this is true. How our day goes depends on our outlook and how we react to things that happen. If we start the day in a bad mood, thinking everything will go wrong, it will. If we start with an open mind and even attitude, we can steer things where we want them to go. We can decide to react positively to bad situations instead poorly.
A few years ago, I was walking out of my office with a handful of papers when something bumped my hand and the papers went flying all over the place. I looked at them strewn all over the floor, and started laughing. The person that was in the lobby at the time looked at me, and asked, “Why are you laughing?” I asked her what I should do, get mad and start throwing things all over the place? There was no point in doing that. It would only make the situation worse. But laughing brings it in a different direction.
How we view life, and how we react to all the things around us creates the reality we want. Then you start putting imagination (aka energy) into things and then you shape and create your world. Yes, you can have anything you desire as long as you stay positive to it, and put energy into it through belief. You can create a reality of suffering, or you can create one of joy. It is all how you make it.
The other song bouncing in my head was Olivia Newton John’s “Magic”. The line I kept hearing was “We have to believe we are magic. Nothin’ will stand in our way.” That’s right, we have to believe. We have to believe that that we can, and that we are strong… because we are. We have to know that we are so strong that nothing will stand in our way, that we can overcome anything. This goes back to an article I wrote a few years ago that got published in Natural Awakenings… Six Words. Those words are, I Am , I Can, and I Do (follow this link to read it). I am strong, I can do anything, and I do.
You can do magic. You just have to believe, and know you are strong.
Hopefully, I have used some magic, and gotten you to rethink your abilities and belief in yourselves. For my next trick…

Final Musical Notes
Was listening to one of the musical channel on my TV, Light Classical. I heard one I recognized, Light Cavalry Overture by Von Suppe. (It is also known as the charge of the light brigade.) A little bit later, I heard another I recognized, an instrumental of Yesterday by Lennon-McCartney. Huh? I mean, I know it is a classic, but classical?
When I grew up, and someone mentioned long hair music, they were talking, Beethoven, Bach, Strauss. Nowadays you mention long hair music and the kids think you are talking about the Beatles. Go figure.

Anyone leaving a review will be entered into the monthly drawing to win a free session (massage or Reiki). Reviews made between the first and last day of each month will go into the drawing, and the winner will be pulled on the first of every month. Thank you all that have left reviews, and congratulations to the people who have already won free sessions.
Note: We are asking people not to post on Yelp unless you are a person that posts there regularly. Yelp has some qualifying software that looks at each review, and if you are a regular poster, your comment is deemed "Relevant", otherwise your comment is marked "Not Relevant". While Caring Palms has 20 5-star reviews on Yelp, only seven of them are deemed "Relevant", and one has to go through another step to see the remaining 13.

The following is a list of currently scheduled Reiki Classes. Each class (unless otherwise marked) currently has a status of 'Scheduled'. This means that a date has been set, but no one has signed up for it yet. Once a deposit has been received for a class, the status will be 'Confirmed'. Any class marked as 'Closed' has filled up. (Note: In some cases, one may be able to enter a class marked 'Closed' with permission of the instructor.)
All classes require a minimum of two students for them to happen.
You may sign up for any of these through the website, or over the phone with a credit card.

More classes will be added once Caring Palms settles into a new location after June, and a new class location is found.
All classes are open to anyone wanting to learn this unique method of hands-on healing. The cost for each class is $150 no matter what level of Reiki the class is for. A $75 deposit is required a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the class date (or permission of the instructor) to reserve a space in the class. Full payment must be received two (2) days before the class date. Classes with no deposits received by the cut off date will be canceled. All class statuses may be viewed under Reiki, Reiki Class Information, and Class Schedule. You can also sign up for classes there. (Check the website for the location.)
Reiki 1, 2, and 3 classes are Florida Board of Massage Approved for six (6) Continuing Education Hours (CEUs)

Brian is now doing readings to anyone that wants to sit for one for $50 for up to one hour. Keep in mind, these are mediumship readings, not psychic readings.
