Annual City Park Fall Fest – Saturday, September 17, 2022
Event culminates with second-ever fireworks display on the lake!
Come for the fusion of arts, entertainment, history, and music and stay for the spectacular fireworks display this Saturday, September 17, 2022 at City Park Fall Fest. The annual event promises a full day of free family fun beginning at 11am and ending after dark.
Festivities kick off with a children’s Monarch Butterfly Parade along the Hagerstown Cultural Trail to the park. Activities throughout the day include pony rides and a petting zoo, Tommy 202 wagon rides for kids, living history, arts and craft-making, museum tours, balloon benders, and more. Food vendors will be onsite, and arts and craft vendors will have special items available for purchase.
City Park’s four museums—the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, the Mansion House Art Center & Gallery (headquarters for the Valley Art Association), the City Park Train Hub, and the Jonathan Hager House and Museum—will each be offering free tours and activities.
In addition, Bester Community of Hope will be presenting the 7th annual South End Community Block Party between the band shell and concession stand. From 11am-3pm, the south side of the park will be hosting live entertainment, community resource vendors, a superhero meet-and-greet, and the opportunity to play games such as laser and archery tag, and others.
Beginning at 4pm, attendees are encouraged to check out the food and craft vendors and enjoy the wandering entertainment in the Museum Drive lake area leading up to the second-ever fireworks display on the lake at 7:30pm.
Visit https://www.hagerstownmd.org/fallfest or the Facebook event for the day’s complete schedule and a list of participating agencies and organizations. Follow the Hagerstown Parks and Recreation Facebook page for the latest updates and to find information about future events.
