National Walk to a Park Day is Monday, October 10th...
Enjoy your day in our parks and green spaces in our community’s backyard. "They offer residents a place to play, connect, and reap the benefits of the outdoors. That’s why National Walk to a Park Day on October 10th encourages us to walk to our local parks. Feel the wind on your face. Take in the fall weather. Visit with neighbors. Play with your children. And appreciate all the benefits green spaces offer communities.
Parks are an essential part of improving public health. They provide a place to play, exercise, and commune with nature. They support equitable and thriving communities. And they protect communities from the impacts of the climate." For a list of our parks and trails visit our website.

Mud Run Wrap-Up
To say our second annual Family Mud Run was a resounding success is an understatement! The event, held at the Webster Recreation Center (1350 Chiyoda Drive) on Saturday, September 17th, was a family friendly, non-competitive run/walk through mud pits and assorted wet and muddy obstacles. This year’s version featured inflatable sprinklers in the form of giant gorillas, sharks, and dinosaurs, plastic pumpkin “eggs” with prizes and the Webster Fire Department spraying participants for a memorable ending!

The nearly 500 participants were able to interact with local businesses and organizations including Webster Police and Library, Special Olympics, GVPT, Dancing with Denise, and more! A special thank-you to MVP, Gleason’s Orthodontics, Greenlight Network, and Wegman’s for sponsoring this event.

We are humbled by the feedback we’ve received from participants and vendors alike with both nearly doubling from last year. We are already planning and looking forward to next year so be sure to save the date, 9/23/2023!
