to be filed by March 31st. If you have received paperwork from the state of Arkansas,

please contact our office.

MCS 150 Update

In accordance with FMCSA MCS-150 regulation 49 CFR Part §390.19, every two

years all motor carriers are required to update their MCS-150 information with the

FMCSA. This update must be completed in the appropriate month, every even or odd

year, based on your DOT#, even if your information has not changed, and regardless of

when you last updated.

Failure to complete a biennial update in your assigned month may cause deactivation of

your USDOT number and could result in civil penalties of up to $1,000 per day (not to

exceed $10,000).

If your USDOT number ends with the number 3, your MCS-150 may need to be updated.

If the 3 is preceded by an odd number, you must renew by the end of March this year.

If the 3 is preceded by an even number, you are not due for an update until March of

next year.

**Please note, if this is not completed, there is a $500 per day fine, which could be subject to two years imprisonment and a fine of up to $10,000.

Please contact a corporation's representative for pricing for other states.

Drug and Alcohol Consortium

Staying compliant with the FMCSA drug and alcohol consortium guidelines is imperative to keeping a company operational. Please review the following procedures to confirm you are current with our consortium:

  • Is your driver list current?
  • When a driver is terminated, please complete the termination form.

  • Random drug pulls are MANDATORY
  • A driver who fails to appear for a scheduled drug or alcohol test will be deemed to have tested positive and will be subject to the same consequences as if they had failed the test.
  • Tests must be taken IMMEDIATELY when informed

  • Do you have a designated "dispatcher"?
  • Because you are required to stop all operations and report immediately to the drug testing site, we need a designated "dispatcher" so we do not notify your drivers of their random during inopportune times.

Commercial carriers are encouraged to review our drug and alcohol consortium testing policies to ensure compliance with the updated FMCSA regulations.
