Truck Driver Appreciation Week

September 15, 2022

Issue 237

Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic and the 24-hour news cycle, the words 'Supply Chain' have become a household term. Some people still don't seem to know what the expression means, or understand how it magically transports the things we use every day from farms, factories and shipping containers to store shelves. The answer is simple - it's the 3.6 million professional truck drivers across the country, working to safely and securely move freight every day.

It's not an exaggeration to say that the job truck drivers carry out has an impact on nearly every aspect of our daily lives. But we don’t often stop to think about it. There has never been a better time to stop and say ‘Thank You.’

The week of September 11-17th is officially National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. I’m very fortunate to be able to work with some great transportation providers every day, and this is a perfect opportunity to make the time to thank each and every one. Some of my best carrier relationships go back 10 years or more. The only way to maintain a connection that strong is through trust and great communication. My carriers know I’m willing to go out of their way and in return, they do the same for me.

The one thing all of these top carriers have in common is the professionalism of their truck drivers. That is always what it comes down to and it means everything to know that my customer's freight is in good hands. Thank you to all carriers for the hard work you do.
