FRIDAY FLASH | November 17, 2023 | | |
Trivium Preparatory Families,
As we enter a time of year that involves reflection, appreciation, joy, and gratitude, I invite you to join us in celebrating gratitude with our academy on November 28 for #GivingTuesday. This day of giving was created to focus on doing good for the community after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday.
I am grateful to our parents who already support our classrooms through Community Investment. On Giving Tuesday, our intent is to fulfill our Community Investment goal and raise $15,000. If we hit our goal, there will be a popcorn party for every class and any donation made in Community Investment from November 21 till November 28 will count towards our goal.
I invite families who have not yet supported our school this year to make a gift during #GivingTuesday to show their gratitude. All gifts made on Giving Tuesday will support our operating budget and help us close the funding gap of $1,500 per student. You can give by clicking here or by connecting with Aydin Martin our Family Giving Officer.
To see what our faculty, staff, community, and students are grateful for this year, follow us on social media on Tuesday, November 28. Thank you again for your endless support of our academy, we truly could not do it without you.
Go Knights!
Dan Schutten
Headmaster, Trivium Prep

With Flu season upon us, it is important that we work together to keep our scholars and staff healthy. You can help prevent the spread of colds and flu viruses by following a few simple steps:
- Cover noses and mouths with a tissue or the bend of your elbow when sneezing or coughing. Dispose of the tissue immediately and apply hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
- Wash hands frequently with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds.
- Remind scholars to avoid touching their face, mouth, nose, and eyes.
- If your child has a fever, chills, cough, sore throat, body aches, keep him/her at home to prevent the spread of illness to others.
-
Most importantly, your child should be fever free (temp. below 100 degrees without Tylenol or Motrin) for at least 24 hours before returning to campus.
Also, please make sure your scholar is eating a healthy breakfast and packing a lunch or ordering from My Hot Lunchbox. We are currently out of spare lunches and are running very low on snacks. We are asking for donations of the following items to help support our scholars:
· Granola bars/ ready to eat soups or cups of noodles
· Water bottles
Donations can be left in the front office labeled for the Trivium Prep Health Office. Thank you for the support in keeping our Knights healthy this holiday season.
Thank you,
Christine Work, RN
