UPCOMING MONTHLY WELLNESS WORKSHOPS

"There were so many things the facilitators offered that were amazing. The activities very effectively opened us up to sharing. The ritual elements were beautiful and also added a lot of meaning. All that being said, just the space to talk and hear from other men was invaluable to me"

DENVER TO CHICAGO

"OLMEC TRAILS" OPENS SUMMER 2024

"Olmec Trails" offers a fresh and accessible approach to the rich culture of the Olmec civilization. The Mexican Cultural Center DuPage (West Chicago, IL) commissioned 33 fiberglass Olmec heads that were painted by muralists across North America. Denver-based artist Julio Mendoza, known as Juls, brought his distinct “Surrealismo Cultural” to represent the LCAC with a design titled “Nuestros Inicios”.

Juls' Olmec head celebrates the ancient Mesoamerican ball game, a precursor to modern-day soccer developed by the Olmecs and later embraced by the Aztecs and Mayans. It captures the essence of Colorado’s breathtaking landscape with iconic elements of Mexican culture.
