Health Equity Community Conversation

Join fellow central Vermont community members in coming together to discuss how understanding of identity can improve safety and crisis response in our community.

Do you identify as a member of a marginalized community? If you hold any of the following identities your input would be greatly appreciated: BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, low Income, unhoused and/or experience with housing insecurity, lived experience with mental illness and/or substance use disorder. This list is not all encompassing. All identities welcome in this conversation.

Join central Vermont Community members in coming together in conversation to answer questions such as: What are the key factors influencing your interactions with first responders and community services in addressing your mental health and substance-related needs, and what can be done to enhance your sense of safety in these situations?

VTrans wants Your Feedback on the Barre Town Bridge #21 Replacement Project

Please complete a short end of project survey about the construction on the Barre Town Bridge #21 Replacement Project located in the Town of Barre on VT Route 110 over Jail Branch just west of the roundabout at the intersection with U.S. Route 302.  

VTrans is seeking your feedback on the construction and communication throughout the project. The survey should take no more than 5 minutes to complete and will provide valuable insight to the project team. Please click HERE or click on the button below to access the survey.

VTrans Electrify Your Fleet Program

The VTrans has launched their Electrify Your Fleet program, offering organizations the opportunity to apply for up to twenty $2,500 incentives. The Electrify Your Fleet program aims to transition from fossil-fueled transportation, addressing carbon emissions and promoting cleaner options. Priority is given to historically underserved communities. Eligible vehicles include electric, hybrid, bicycles, motorcycles, and snowmobiles. Participants must hold the vehicles for 24 months and demonstrate emission reduction. Learn more here and apply here


Request for Proposals: Municipal Scoping Study - Town of Orange

The Town of Orange is requesting proposals for production of a scoping study to identify alternatives, issues and costs and provide recommendations related to construction of a crosswalk and sidewalks facility in the Orange Village, funded in part by the Federal Highway Administration and the Town of Orange, through the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) Municipal Assistance Section (MAS). Proposals due December 15th. Full details here
