Advancing Digital Equity

GLA is a Founding Partner of the LA Community Impact Hub: a network of 12 Best Buy Teen Tech Centers that provide industry-grade technology, mentorship and internships, and workforce development for students from underserved communities to enter LA's creative economy. This month, the Teen Tech Center at North Valley Caring Services in the San Fernando Valley will open its doors to the community and begin programming for students. They will hold a Grand Opening in early 2024.

Student Centered Teaching and Learning

GLA is proud to partner with the English Language Workforce Investment Network (EL-WIN) to support the strategic growth of an early education workforce that can meet the needs of Multilingual Learners in LA County. These efforts include collaboration with LACOE to identify a course of action to support early learner workforce development that aligns with regional needs and local communities. This winter, GLA will hold a convening with a diverse group of partners to discuss a framework for this work and how regions can partner.

JOIN US TO MAKE LA GREATER

At the Greater LA Education Foundation (GLA), our most powerful catalyst for advancing equity and making LA greater is the support of our partners and sponsors. And your gift of support can assist in enhancing such efforts.

Over the past four years, GLA has had the privilege of supporting Los Angeles County educators and students through several projects and initiatives designed to ensure that our school communities have the resources they need to thrive. We worked to support the Los Angeles County Office of Education’s (LACOE) flagship events that recognized teachers and educational leaders in LA County. We supported LACOE’s academic events and scholarship programs that honored students and their scholastic achievements. All of this was possible because of your generous support and sponsorship.

Join our efforts to invest in innovative solutions that meet the most urgent needs of our school communities and support LA County school districts and educators that are making transformational change. Your tax-deductible contribution, no matter the amount, can be made here.
