Hungry For the Word of God
Greetings!

I am always thankful to God that He still gives us opportunities to make disciples, even though COVID has changed disciple-making. But in other ways, the task remains the same. His Kingdom remains untouched by COVID and it's affects.

After COVID, many doors were opened. People are hungry for the Word of God. Many churches have requested that CCI provide leadership training and evangelical training. And we traveled to train many churches, especially in the northern part of Cambodia.

We praise the Lord that in January, we provided 2 different seminars to new churches and also, to a class in Takeo. I was able to meet with Pastor Monyroth's class in Siem Reap and Pastor Soheng's class in Oddar Meanchey.

February was productive with a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW) to the Khmer Evangelical Cambodia leaders. We also, held many promotions. We promoted the CCI mission to the church in Sveng Reng on February 13th during pastoral training. At least 28 leaders from 11 different churches attended this pastoral seminar. We shared the CCI mission in Banthey Meanchay province on February 17th at the KEC annual conference. At least 68 pastors and church leaders attended this meeting. Lastly in Chenda Yun, we organized Bible studies in special areas for lay-people in 5 different churches in Kompong Chhang. This month, we have also established two Bible study groups in different places.

Training Events
We held a TTW online for the Khmer Evangelical Cambodia (KEC) annual conference. We have signed an agreement with the KEC Commission to train the church leaders of this group in the west region. Praise God for this training.
In January, we held several seminars; one on the Old Testament in Sre Nio, Oddar Meanchey province. Another on the New Testament with 42 people and finally one on Discipleship and Evangelism to the class in Takeo.

In collaboration with ABWE (Association of Baptists for World Evangelism) located in Pennsylvania, we provided two days of training to a new church, which was planted by CCI students. This training was to help the new believers to see the whole story in the Bible and to teach them evangelism.
We also, held a God's Financial Principles (GFP) seminar on March 2-3. What a joy and glory to God that we gathered together to contemplate, reflect, and study God's Word on God's financial principles. Our topic was "Your pocket and your God". Indeed, the Bible says more about our pockets than the size of our pockets. How we manage spending money (more or less) is an outward performance that limits our inner self.
Other Events
Sitha is sharing the gospel during a Christmas event in Oddar Meanchey province, where a CCI Bible class is being held.

Here Sitha is sharing the mission of the CCI Cambodia ministry to a group of church leaders in Prey Veang province.

Sitha continues to live stream the GFP seminar on TV and Facebook every Tuesday night.
Prayer Requests & Praises
  • Pray for our teachers: for the wisdom to equip the saints for the work of ministry.

  • Our team maintains extensive follow-up with the students through phone calls, and visits to homes, often traveling long distances to minister to them. Please pray that many will grow in their faith and share the Gospel with others.

  • Pray for the country of Cambodia: it’s government, it’s leaders, it’s students, it’s future, and pray for the local churches that we work with to grow IN CHRIST.

  • Pray for the attendees of God’s Financial Principles Seminar that was held on March 3-4. Pray that they learned to manage their finances with biblical wisdom and become good stewards of what God has provided. What a joy and glory to God that we gathered together to contemplate, reflect, and study God's Word on God's financial principles.

  • Praise God for a signed agreement with Khmer Evangelical Cambodia National Leaders group to train church leaders of this group in the western region. May the Lord bless this class and those who attend.

  • Please continue to pray for Meas Sat as he travels twice per month to train a class in Tany, KamPot. Also, for Sitha as he teaches in the northern areas every month. Pray that the Lord will keep them safe in their travels to their destinations.

  • The staff of CCI Cambodia is looking forward to the Global Conference to be held in Thailand in November. Many would like to go, but do not have the money to buy plane tickets. Please pray for God’s provision for this. If you feel led to help, please click HERE. Thank you.
