Mrs. Maddock's Message

Dear Parents,

It's hard to believe that it's already March. Although it may not feel like it, for the next few days, the warm weather is coming. With chilly mornings and warmer afternoons, it's a good idea to dress your child in layers so they can stay comfortable throughout the day.

To help usher in spring, each classroom has a cup full of caterpillars that the students will watch transform into butterflies. Be sure to ask your child for updates.

This Thursday we have a fundraiser at Gelati Celesti. Reach out to other parents in your class. Pick a time to meet at the Short Pump location: maybe after dinner or maybe right after school. Mention "Welborne" and we get 20% of the proceeds. The kids will have fun together and you may just make a new friend. What a delicious way to raise funds.

Please contact me with questions or concerns. As always thank you for sharing your child with us.

Joyfully,

Mrs. Maddock

Miss Emily's 2-year-old classes provided a delicious lunch to the staff on Tuesday. We enjoyed homemade soups, salads, croissants, breads, fruit, brownies and an assortment of drinks. Special thanks to Mary Frances Brown, Edith Davies, Jennifer Fischer, Annalisa Genova, Clair Isenberg, Ashley Sipe, Eliza Fritz, and Maureen Jackson. We greatly appreciate your kindness and generosity.

Library Helper: Thank you to Kirsty Collette for helping in the library this week.
