The Parkinson's Support Group meets on the second Thursday each month at 2:00 p.m. The meeting is open to YMCA members & non-members. Caregivers are encouraged to attend. If you or someone you know has Parkinson's, there is a Parkinson's Combination Exercise Class and Speech Therapy Class that meets every Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 in the YMCA's downstairs group fitness room. There are chair exercises for the body and speech exercise to strengthen the voice and the muscles used for swallowing. The class is free.

GRAND RIVER SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS
Interested in a career in the live sound engineering field? Grand River School of Performing Arts currently has openings for sound engineer trainees at live shows in the NE Oklahoma region. Urgent Care of Grand Lake
Friday, May 3rd, the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting at Urgent Care of Grand Lake , 900 S. Main St., Grove. Chad Perkins, a Physician Assistant, has been practicing emergency and urgent care medicine since graduating from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in 2010. For the past 9 years, he has managed and overseen providers in over a dozen urgent care clinics throughout northeast Oklahoma. He and his family moved to the Grand Lake area 6 years ago and opened this Urgent Care of GL on October 3, 2023. It is a welcome addition to our community! Welcome to the Grove Area Chamber.
