Your Investments In Action

The LCUW Community Investments process is taking place during the week of April 22. Area leaders are hearing presentations about local human services programs and making recommendations to direct investments for the greatest impact for local families. These determinations will be presented to our Finance Committee and Board of Directors for approval with funding allocation notifications presented to partner agencies by June 1. This is an excellent process aimed at making a real difference!

Sponsorships

We invite you to consider a sponsorship to provide financial assistance for purchasing special project materials. This support will benefit residents who lack the financial means to access the resources necessary for their community service projects. Our goal is to expand the level of support provided in 2024 to more than 50 Livingston County residents.

Sponsorship levels range from $500-$15,000.

Worksite Requests

Wednesday, May 1- Monday, June 10

Every year the Livingston County United Way collects worksite proposals from local residents, seniors, schools, churches, disabled residents and non-profit agencies. The work is often minor household repairs/projects, cleaning and yard work that the homeowner is not able to do on their own. Anyone can recommend a worksite and is encouraged to apply for a neighbor or friend who needs extra help. Click here for a Worksite Request.

Volunteer Registration

Wednesday, May 1 - Sunday, June 30

April's Featured Program

VINA Dental Clinic

"We are full-time farmers. We raised three children and for many years we kept the kids’ dental care attended to but our own dental needs were neglected. In farming, money is always tight. When I read about VINA, I felt at last we could get regular oral care. Thank you, VINA!”

Being able to receive regular oral health care is crucial to maintaining overall health and wellbeing. Many low-income patients cannot afford preventive care because they have other urgent needs to spend their limited income on. These discounted appointments make it possible for the ALICE population in Livingston County to access and receive regular preventive care without worry about cost or if they need to give up another urgent need to afford dental care.
