School is starting and local families are feeling the effects of the costs associated with new beginnings. Local non-profits are giving out clothes, school supplies and food to help with these needs. But, sometimes, the most basic of needs go unanswered. One way you can help answer these needs is by donating new underwear and socks on August 21 during the worship and Sunday School hours. Collection boxes will be located in the Sanctuary Lobby where you can place your donations.

We will be accepting new, packaged socks and underwear for all sizes and ages. Children’s sizes will be donated to Sam Houston Elementary, our Conroe ISD partner school. Adult sizes will go to the Community Assistance Center where there is an ongoing need for these kinds of items. We are long term community partners with both organizations and they are excited to have the extra resources to distribute.

On August 22, I will need a few folks who might be willing to help deliver our donations to our recipients. If you would like to assist, please contact me at janet@fmconroe.org and I will give you the details!

Prayers for all of your families as they enter into a new school year!

In Christ,
