This Sunday – Register for Faith Formation, Confirmation, and High School classes
On Sunday, August 7, Shelley Brennan, our new coordinator for Faith Formation, will be in the Crossroads in-between the two services to help you register your child(ren) for Faith Formation, Confirmation, and High School classes. Later in the day, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, Shelley will be outside for registration and some social time. Bring a lunch or just come, meet Shelley, greet other parents, and allow the children to interact with one another on our playgrounds.
We still need Faith Formation teachers to fill in some gaps. Please contact Shelley directly if you are interested in giving your time this coming school year. She can be reached at [email protected].
This Sunday – Opera at Redeemer
Some of our cantors for special occasions will be performing "Lohengrin" at Redeemer on Sunday, August 7, at 3 pm. The cost is $25. Performers known to Redeemer are Keith Craig, Leah Schenk-Crowne, and Scott Crowne. Come and bring your friends and neighbors!

Summer Worship Schedule
9 am and 10:30 am
Pastor Paul Opsah will preach this Sunday and Pastor Kessinger will preside over Holy Communion. At the 9 am Contemporary service we need someone to read the lessons. At the 10:30 am Traditional service we need someone to be the crucifer (carry the cross) and also someone to read the lessons. Please use the sign-up if you are able to help.

You Want to Know How to Help Out at Redeemer?
Zoom Meeting on Wednesday, August 10 – 7 pm
People ask all the time how they can be of help. The Stewardship Ministry team put together a volunteer booklet that was included in the August newsletter. On Wednesday, Pastor Kessinger will meet with anyone who is interested in learning about volunteer opportunities in more depth. All are welcome!

Collection for ELCA Day of Service
In August we need your help to collect items for the ELCA Day of Service. We are making Personal Care Kits, Baby Care Kits, and School Kits that will be sent to Lutheran World Relief. Financial donations are also accepted. Make checks out to “Redeemer Lutheran Church” with a memo that reads “ELCA Day of Service.” Thank you!

Memorial Service for Milt Schultz
A Memorial Service for Milt Schultz will be held on Monday, November 7, at 11 am. Family will proceed to Arlington Cemetery after the service so there will not be a reception. More details to follow.
