October 18, 2023

Join us at Fall Fest this Saturday, October 21 from 4:00-6:00 PM.

A beloved St. Catherine's tradition, Fall Fest is one of two PSO-sponsored potluck picnics hosted on main campus grounds each year. Every member of our community is invited for food, fun, fellowship, and music provided by SCM alumni parent - Nuri Nuri.

Food

Please bring a dish to feed 8-10 people in a reusable or compostable container and your reusable water bottlesPlease remember that St. Catherine's is a nut-aware campus.

We Still Need Volunteers!

Volunteers are needed the day of the event to help set up, manage the food and beverage stations, supervise activities, and clean up. Please sign up for an available volunteer shift using this SignUpGenius. Most shifts last just 30 minutes, and cleanup goes faster the more folks pitch in. Snag a friend and sign up together so you can chat during your shift.

Thank you. We look forward to a great event!

Individual and Group Picture Day is Friday, October 27

Individual and Group Picture Day is on Friday, October 27. This year, we will be using Lifetouch as our photographer. You may pre-order your child’s portrait and class group photo on mylifetouch.com or order after you receive the proofs. Proofs will be delivered to the school 2-4 weeks after Picture Day and will be sent home with your child.

To pre-order online, you will be asked for a Picture Day ID. Please note that there are two separate IDs. For individual photos, use EVTN3KJ32, and for class group photos, use EVTM8VZFR.

Please be aware we will not be scheduling a re-take day with Lifetouch, and any photo retakes for those who are absent will be handled internally.

Dia de los Muertos Ofrenda

In previous years, the Adolescent Community has organized an ofrenda in the Welcome Center to celebrate the lives and honor the memories of loved ones who have passed away.

This year, the ofrenda will be on display from Tuesday, October 31 through Thursday, November 2. We invite all members of the SCM community to bring photos of loved ones who have passed away to place on the ofrenda. This provides students with an opportunity to learn more about family members they didn't have the chance to know and to discuss their loved ones who have passed away. Please label the back of the photos with the student's name and guide. Photos will be ready for pickup on Friday, November 3 at the front desk.

OUR FAITH IN ACTION

Thank you to all who joined us for Mass today. It is a blessing for us to gather and worship together as a community. Click here to view more photos from Mass.

All are invited to attend our next Mass on Wednesday, November 1 at 2:15 PM in the school gym. November 1 is a holy day of obligation, All Saints' Day.

Volunteers help catalog and restore books, prepare book bags for the Primary children, maintain the Parent Library, and help host the annual book fair.

A portion of each book sale will be donated to St. Catherine’s Montessori to support the library, and books from the library wish list can be purchased. Volunteer opportunities will be available for assisting with the book fair, including setup, break down, sales, and decorating the gym for the Christmas concert.

HIGH SCHOOL CORNER

Dear SCM Community,

As a community that possesses the unique ability to send students to colleges that are the perfect fit for them, we also prioritize allowing students the ability to attend college tours and visit schools that pique their interest. Click this link to find out more about how we do this!
