"The love of God has been poured out
into our hearts through the Holy Spirit."
~ Romans 5:5b
Sunday's Readings:

First Reading — Before anything was created, the wisdom of God was brought forth (Proverbs 8:22-31).

Psalm — O Lord, our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth! (Psalm 8).

Second Reading — God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us (Romans 5:1-5).

Gospel — Everything that the Father has is mine; the Spirit will take from what is mine and declare it to you (John 16:12-15).
Biblical Roots of the Trinity
Sunday’s readings show some biblical roots of what Christians would later call the Trinity. Proverbs showcases the role of Wisdom in the work of creation, portrayed as a reality outside of God but integrated into God’s work of forming the heavens and the earth. We join the psalmist in sharing Wisdom’s delight in God’s handiwork: “O Lord, our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth” (Psalm 8:2).

In his letter to the Romans, Paul writes of peace with God through Jesus, and the love of God received through the Holy Spirit, distinguishing God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit while also displaying their abiding unity.

Finally, in the farewell discourse from John’s Gospel, Jesus—who had earlier spoken of himself as Son of the Father—promises his friends that they will receive the Spirit of truth that will teach and guide them after his departure.

Requesting Meals for Totus Tuus Missionaries
Totus Tuus missionaries are faith-filled college students and seminarians, commited to traveling in a team (3 young men/2 young women), teaching, evangelizing and spreading the gospel throughout parishes for six weeks. Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament is hosting Totus Tuus from June 12th through 17th at St. Julian Eymard and we're in need of a few more volunteers to provide meals for the team.

Please follow this link to discover more or to sign up for a meal!
Priests' Health and Retirement
Priests have dedicated their lives to ministry, serving our needs as Catholics from the moment we are baptized until we receive last rites before entering eternal life. Priests’ Health and Retirement/ PRMAA provides for the health and well-being of 450 active and 254 retired archdiocesan priests. We will take a special collection to support our retired priests at all Masses on June 12th.

All are welcome to join us as we walk and sing together. Bring the family or grab a friend, or two!
Parishioners may choose to head directly to SJE to help with setup or cooking, or drive over and meet at SJE for prayer and Benediction around 12:00/12:15pm. Help us get the word out and pray for good weather for this blessed event!

If you would prefer to attend Mass on these days, please note the following options:

First Saturday Devotions
At Fatima, Our Lady asked us to go to confession, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary and keep her company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary. If we do this on the First Saturday of five consecutive months, Our Blessed Mother has promised to assist with all the graces necessary for salvation at the hour of death.

We know Sunday is the day we set aside for Our Lord, but do you have an hour on the First Saturday of the month to spend with His Mother, Our Blessed Mother? Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament has begun First Saturday Devotions again immediately following Mass at QR on the first Saturday of the month. We're looking for Ministry Groups to take turns leading the Rosary and providing fellowship (breakfast light bites and maybe some coffee) on the First Saturday of each month.
Please follow this link to sign a Ministry Group up to lead the rosary and provide fellowship. We can't wait to see you on
Season for Life
Spring, a season of renewal and hope, is adorned in the natural beauty of new life. God’s great creation bursts forth with the sights, smells and sounds of a world emerging from the slumber of winter. Green grass, flowering trees, chirping birds and gentle rains fill our senses and hearts with a great anticipation of good things to come.

In this spirit of renewal and hope, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Respect Life Ministry invites us all to participate in Season for Life.
NCADV
Electronics Collection. Through their partnership with Cellular Recycler, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, receives a portion of the sale from donated, refurbished electronics. These funds are used to support NCADV’s programming to support victims of domestic abuse as well as their advocates and allies. Please look for collection bins in our worship site vestibules through June 19th.
Celebrate Dad!
Honor dads and dad-like figures in your life with a Father's Day card from Project Love. Please see displays in both vestibules. The requested donation is $5 per card and all proceeds go to support Project Love, a grant program of Illinois Right to Life.
Walking With Moms
As we enter the final weeks of Season for Life, please remember that Walking with Moms in Need is a time of service in which Catholic parishes and communities like Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament "walk in the shoes" of local pregnant and parenting women in need.

Walking with Moms in Need helps fulfill our Season for Life Mission by supporting local pregnancy centers where they exist, and also finding and sharing other resources with pregnant and parenting women.
You're Invited!
June marks the birth of our spiritually-adoptive baby! For the past nine months, we have been praying that God will spare the life of an unborn child and that their parents will choose life for them.

Please join us on Sunday, June 26th, immediately following the 10:30am Mass at Queen of the Rosary for our Spiritual Adoption Baby Shower (bring the whole family). This will be one more opportunity to support crisis pregnancy centers in our area with monetary donations or gifts from their Wish List (scroll down to Donation Wish List) as we close out the 2022 Season for Life. Thank you for your generosity.

And like any good Baby Shower, we'll enjoy fellowship and treats too!
Music Notes
Charismatic Music Group will lead sung prayer for Corpus Christi at the 9:15am Mass at SJE Sunday, June 19th.

All choir groups will take July and part of August off to enjoy the Summer with family and friends. Rehearsals will resume in August. Stay tuned for more information!
Community Outreach
Get ready for the Mid-Summer Classics Concert Series in Elk Grove Village! In July, Elk Grove Village and the Elk Grove Park District will host two concerts at Rotary Green, which backs up to our QR Parking Lot. We're looking for volunteers to greet concert goers by offering water, rosaries, prayer intentions and more to help share the Good News of Jesus Christ and spread the word about Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish.
  • July 4th | 8pm | KC & the Sunshine Band
  • July 21st | 7:30pm | Rick Springfield

Please follow this link to review the available slots and sign up to share the Good News. Thank you!
Please note, the parish office will be closed on Monday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.
July Summer Supper
In June, our Good Samaritan Summer Supper crew distributed 155 meals to those in need. While we hate to see so much need, we are so proud to be part of a parish of service. Thank you again for all you do to continue our parish meal outreach for the hungry. Our next Supper will be Thursday, July 7th and we'll be serving a hearty summer cold plate of chicken salad, fruit and cottage cheese.

PJ Anderson Conceert
Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament is excited to welcome beloved songwriter, performer, worship artist and storyteller, PJ Anderson, on August 21st at 1pm!

Teens know PJ from Catholic Heart Work Camp, and his latest album, Mercy, Mercy, debuted at #7 on iTunes. He has led thousands in worship including the Youth Rally and Mass for Life in Washington DC and World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland. PJ has been praised for his unique ability to connect with listeners and says, “As a Christian songwriter, I am driven by the challenge of saying something new, thought-provoking and inspiring about God’s immense love for us.”

PJ’s genuine enthusiasm for God is refreshing and infectious. Come see, and hear, for yourself and share the love.

What's Next?
Thank you for participating in the Church’s largest consultation in history! Unlike a council beginning in Rome and then being disseminated around the world, a synod is a grass-roots effort that takes place at the local level. In October, Our Holy Father introduced the “Synod on Synodality” because He believes that only the entire people of God journeying together can answer the question, “What is the Holy Spirit saying to the church today?”

School Report
The first day of the 2022-2023 school year is August 17th. Wishing all of our parish and school families a happy, healthy and safe Summer Break! We can't wait to see all of our returning school students and families and meet new students and their families!

If you haven't already, please follow this link to learn more about QR School at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament or register for the upcoming school year.
