Rockport Center for the Arts
August 5th- September 18th – “Windows for Forgotten Landscapes” Exhibition by Austin Uzor. “These paintings specifically translate memories of personal iconographic moments and spaces through the years, both good and bad, using windows as symbolic portals into old and new worlds,” said Uzor. “Sometimes, holding on to the past is all that there is. This is an attempt to compress specific memories into landscapes using ambiguity and abstraction as tools to express liminality.”

Aransas Pathways
September 16, at 9:30 am "Find your Pathway in Birding!" Take a tour of Aransas Pathways birding sites and compete for a chance to win a pair of Bushnell 10x42mm Binoculars! This event will be the kick-off for the 34th Annual HummerBird Celebration. The event starts with a coffee and snack welcome at the Aransas Pathways Center Pavilion, 2491 Hwy 35 North. You will visit five pathways sites. This is a self-guided tour with specific times to visit each site. The tour and game are both open to the public. We encourage our visitors and locals alike to participate.

Aransas National Wildlife Refuge
Open daily from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. The Visitor Center is open Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Come hike a trail, fish off the pier or from your kayak, or drive the 16-mile auto tour. Goose Island State Park

Memorial Park
Check out the Disc golf course intertwining among the oak trees. Memorial Park is located at 1601 FM 2165 (Pearl St.) in Rockport. The park includes a 6000 sq. ft. modular skate park. Consisting of more than 100 acres, the Park includes 1.65 miles of Hike and Bike trails and a 3/4-mile nature trail with interpretive signs, and rest benches. Soccer fields, basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, off-leash dog parks, playscapes and fitness stations, birding sites, and picnic facilities serve a wide variety of interests throughout the year.
