Job Title: Youth and Family Transition Coordinator
Position Type: Three Part-Time positions. (Two remote positions – one in North Idaho, one in East Idaho. 10 hours/week in North and East Idaho; one position at the Boise Office in Southwest Idaho at 20 hours/week.)
Idaho Parents Unlimited is seeking three dedicated Youth and Family Transition Coordinators to join our team, assisting in the transition of youth with disabilities into adulthood. Successful candidates will be involved in developing and enhancing resources and guidance across various domains including Self-Determination/Self-Advocacy, Financial Literacy, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and Career Development alongside their regional teams that consist of a variety of professional partners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of guidance documents and resources in Self-Determination/Self-Advocacy, Financial Literacy, CTE, and Career Development.
Participate in and contribute to local and regional interagency teams and meetings.
Assist in the development and facilitation of training and resources for local interagency support.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective transition planning and services for students with disabilities.
Develop, revise, and present training workshops to youth, families, and professional partners. These may be one to one or groups, both large and small.
Requirements:
Proven experience working with youth with disabilities, particularly those in transition to adulthood and/or families who have children and youth with disabilities.
Knowledge of Self-Determination/Self-Advocacy, Financial Literacy, CTE, and Career Development.
Ability to collaborate with local education agencies, teachers, families, students, businesses, Vocational Rehabilitation, and related services professionals.
Excellent organizational, facilitation, and communication skills.

Community Engagement: Proactively make connections and build relationships within the community to support the goals of the program and the needs of youth with disabilities.
Self-Initiation: Demonstrate strong self-initiation, taking proactive steps to manage tasks and responsibilities without direct supervision.
Remote Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a remote team based in the Boise office, ensuring clear communication and coordination of efforts.
Online and Social Media Presence: Maintain a strong and professional online presence, utilizing social media platforms to engage with the community, share resources, and promote program objectives.
Tech Proficiency: Tech-savvy with the ability to utilize various digital tools and platforms to enhance work efficiency and program reach.
Public Speaking: Possess strong public speaking skills, capable of effectively presenting information and advocating for the program and its beneficiaries in diverse settings.
Data Reporting and Writing: Demonstrate excellent skills in data reporting and writing, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of program activities and outcomes.
Confidentiality: Must understand and adhere to all laws and policies that address the confidentiality of health and educational information as it pertains to the families and youth we serve, data, and Idaho Parents Unlimited.
