Calendar Information please
The clergy and staff are already busy planning the upcoming church year and we need your input. If you are on a team or part of a group, we'd like to hear from you with any activities you have planned, as well as regular scheduled meetings - so they can be added to the 2022-2023 church calendar. Perhaps you're a member of the congregation and there's something new you'd like to see happen at BCCUCC? If so, we'd also like to hear from you. Please send all information and ideas to Christine at office@bccucc.org or (401) 246-0111. The staff will be getting together on Wednesday, August 3 for their annual calendar planning meeting, so please submit any information you have by Monday, July 25 or as soon as possible thereafter. Thanks!
Food, Fun and Fellowship!
We're having another Church Potluck - and all are invited!
On Sunday, August 7 at 5:30 pm, please plan to join us for another potluck in Fellowship Hall and the Terrace. Once again, there’s no need to sign up just bring yourself and whatever dish you’d like to share. Drinks and ice will be provided. There will be fun activities and popsicles for kids of all ages. Bring warm or cold food ready to eat – there are outlets for plugging in crockpots for anything that needs to be served warm. The first potluck was very successful so we look forward to another evening of great fellowship and good food!  We do hope that you can join us. Everyone of all ages is welcome!
RI Association Summer Picnic - save the date and RSVP!
The RI Association UCC (formerly the RI Conference) is holding its first ever Summer Picnic on Sunday, August 21 from 3 – 5 pm at Goddard Park Picnic Pavilion, 1095 Ives Rd, Warwick.
Folks of all ages from the RI Association churches, including you and your family, are invited!  Bring food that you’d like to eat, and the Association will provide the beverages and dessert (a Palagis ice cream truck is coming, their treat!). Come, laugh, and gather. Let’s reconnect in-person and celebrate our Rhode Island Association UCC churches! There will be a brief “program” acknowledging some of the transitions of our clergy and churches over the past few years. We’ll honor new ordinands, retirees, and transplants! And there’ll be lots of fun and games.
RSVP at tiny.cc/riuccpicnic/ Picnic tables will be available. Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair.  All are welcome! Flier

Racquel and Dale are sharing a 12 part sermon series that began June 12 and runs the entire summer. This sermon series covers the life of Elijah, his miracles, his ministry, his trouble, and his faith. They will be exploring what meaning this prophet’s story has for our lives today. Join us each week as we walk the road of an ancient prophet’s faith journey!
If you miss a Sunday, recordings of the worship service are at our usual links - www.facebook.com/bccucc or on our website at this link or on our YouTube channel

Update from the Search Committee
The Search Committee for the Associate Pastor position is hard at work this summer. In June they completed the BCCUCC Church Profile, and the position was posted. They’ve received some exciting candidate profiles and have begun interviewing. As stated previously, they cannot discuss the merits or even the identity of any of the candidates due to the confidential nature of the search process. They are looking forward to the next step in the journey and expect to be able to recommend a candidate for this vital position early this fall. Thank you for your patience and support while they work to discern the best candidate on behalf of the congregation.
