Hello Ashley,

My name is Amanda Perez and I am the 2022-2023 President of the Association of Residence Halls (ARH) at UND. This volume of Wednesday Weekly features ways you can get involved in the residence halls!

When I moved to campus from my home in California to Grand Forks, I didn’t know anyone. I wasn’t sure how to get involved, but I talked with my RA, and they encouraged me to join my hall government. After joining, I got to know my community by attending meetings and events. I found a great support system of friends and mentors that went beyond working together in Hall Government. My experience in Hall Government led me to run for an ARH Representative position in my hall. This opened many more doors for me and introduced me to students throughout the residence halls. If you're hoping to build leadership skills and meet other students on campus, I encourage you to participate in hall government and ARH!

You can learn more about Hall Government and ARH by reviewing the information in the email below. If you have any questions about ARH, you can email me at UND.arhpres@UND.edu. I look forward to seeing you around campus!
