Welcome back Parents!
A few words from your Nurses

  • WATER BOTTLES - Please make sure your student has a hydroflask of some sort for water. We have refillable water stations so putting ice in it at home will help.
  • MEDICATION - We do not allow students to have medication on their person. If a student needs to carry an epipen or asthma please email us at arcadianurse@susd.org and we will send you a form. 
  • MEDICATION Over the Counter (OTC) meds like tylenol and ibuprofen, allergy meds are not held in our office. If your student needs to have these medications please fill out a medication administration form for each medication and bring to us in the original bottle.  
  • HEALTHY BREAKFAST - Encourage your child to eat a protein filled breakfast in the morning and pack a snack before lunch. 
  • DO NO COME TO SCHOOL SICK - Please do not send your student to school sick with diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, fever, severe migraines, or severe virus like symptoms. They will be sent home.
  • COVID POSITIVE - If your student is positive for Covid, please isolate them for 5 full days from the onset of symptoms and they may return on the 6th day as long as they are fever free for 24 hours without medication and symptoms have waned. Notify our office at arcadianurse@susd.org and we can assist. Your student is encouraged to wear a mask for the full 10 days after symptoms. Your student does NOT need to test negative in order to return to school.
School Pictures
Order school pictures for 9th-11th grades at https://my.lifetouch.com/. Retake date will be posted in weekly eBlast. If your student does not take a retake, then the photo taken at Walkthrough will be their yearbook photo. Senior Yearbook photos are taken by Prestige Portraits CLICK HERE
Athletics
All students must get a physical and create/update their profile on REGISTER MY ATHLETE BEFORE attending tryouts. To learn more about athletics CLICK HERE.
Student Parking + Drop Off

STUDENT DROP OFF + PICKUP
  • Do not use the front parking lot. All students must be dropped off or picked up at the main gate (by gym).

STUDENT PARKING ON CAMPUS
  • Only Senior + Junior permit holders are allowed to park on campus.
  • Sophomores are not allowed to park on campus regardless of age.
  • Parking permit owners will be contacted when permits arrive.
  • Do Not Park in following areas (Your car will be stickered and noted):
  • Front Parking Lot
  • PTO Auction Reserved (clearly marked with signs)
  • Teacher Parking Spots
  • Seniors still in need of parking should visit Mrs. Mynars in the front office.
  • Juniors will be notified when permits are available.

PARKING OFF CAMPUS
  • Please park legally on city streets and be respectful of AHS neighbors with noise, trash, etc.. 
  • Safeway does not allow student parking and could tow your car.
All About Attendance
What you need to know if your student is sick, tardy, absent CLICK FOR FULL POLICY
  • FULL DAY ABSENCE - Call 480-484-6300 within 24 hrs of absence with Student Name, Student ID #, Reason for the absence.
  • LATE ARRIVAL - Call 480-484-6300 within 24 hrs to excuse -or- Parent/Guardian come into office with student to sign in student. It is not necessary to walk in student if they call.
  • EARLY RELEASE - Call 480-484-6300 at least 3 hours beforehand -or-  Parent/Guardian come into office to sign student out in person.
  • TARDY = 1-9 minutes missed of class
  • ABSENCE = 10+ minutes missed of class
  • 24 HOURS TO EXCUSE - Students must be called out/in within 24 hours of absence/tardy or it will be marked as unexcused and cannot be changed.
  • MAKE EARLY RELEASE FASTER -- Pick up your student BETWEEN classes to make it faster to leave + avoid disrupting class.  CLICK for the bell schedules.
AHS Summer Reading Assignments
