Happy October, Panther Parents and Families! We hope this email finds you well and that your student’s semester has gotten off to a great start! 

It was wonderful to have the opportunity to connect with many of you during our Parent and Family Webinar with Dining Services.

As the Parents and Families Association begins another semester, we invite parents to join us in enriching student opportunities and the value of an Adelphi University experience.

Monthly Parent Webinar Series

As a way to ensure parents are receiving the correct information about their child’s college experience, we have created a monthly parent webinar series. These webinars will include different campus departments sharing their roles on campus and how they can aid your students to be as successful as possible, as well as allowing time for a Q+A.

Thank you to those who joined us at our first webinar of this new series with Dining Services. If you were unable to attend, that is quite alright. You can find the presentation shared at the webinar here!

Save the Date for Adelphi's 7th Annual Spirit Weekend

We can’t wait to welcome you home for our Seventh Annual Spirit Weekend. It will be one to remember!

We invite students, alumni, parents and families, and friends of Adelphi to join us for three days of activities and special events across our Garden City Campus.

The weekend will feature favorite events such as the Spirit Carnival, Adelphi 5K and Kids Fun Run, The Parent and Family Brunch, Adelphi Oktoberfest, and Casino Night. We will also host activities for reunion classes with special activities for the Class of 1973 to celebrate its 50th reunion.

Looking to get involved as a Parent and Family Member?

The Adelphi University Parent and Family Ambassador Program is a volunteer opportunity for parents and family members of current students and alumni to build Adelphi’s reputation and awareness and share institutional information with others, including domestic and international prospective students and their families. Ambassadors will share their knowledge of Adelphi as well as assist with recruitment, involvement, retention and philanthropic opportunities. The Adelphi University Parent and Family Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for all our parents and families to get involved—no matter where your hometown is! The goals of the Parents and Families Association are to be an advocate and support for the parents and families of Adelphi students, to improve students’ Adelphi experience through parental or family knowledge of resources, and to advance the aims and programs of the University. Interested in serving as part of the 2023–2024 Parents and Families Association executive board? Fill out our interest form. Elections will take place on Saturday, October 14, during Spirit Weekend.

• October 7-9: Indigenous Peoples’ Day - no classes
• October 13–16: Spirit Weekend
• November 7: Election Day – no classes
• November 22–26: Thanksgiving break – no classes
• December 11: Last day of classes
• December 14-20: Finals week
