Let's Have a Blast!

Thank you for subscribing to the Baruch Blast. The Blast is MS104's primary means of communicating with parents, and helping involved families stay informed throughout the year. You'll receive regular emails from Principal Macri, The MS104 PTA, and the Guidance Department, that will contain important information about school policies, upcoming events, and much, much more.

All Baruch Blasts are also posted on the school website, ms104.com, along with bullet points to make it as easy as possible for parents to find the specific information they need.

PTA General Meetings

The MS 104 PTA will be holding informational meetings for the General Membership (a.k.a. - you!) at 9:00am every third Thursday of the month through the school year.

The first of these meetings will be on Thursday, September 21st.

Most of the meetings will be held on Zoom, though we hope to have occasional meetings in-person at the school. We also hope to schedule a few evening meetings to make it easier for as many parents as possible to attend.

You MUST pre-register for these meetings,

including the one next Thursday...

The Baruch Brigade

Q: What actually gets accomplished through the MS104 PTA without the hard work and dedication of parent volunteers?

A: Absolutely Nuthin! (Say it again)

Every member of the PTA is a volunteer, and we need your help!

The Baruch Brigade is you, it's me, it's the parents of your child's best friend. It's all of us, working hard to assure that our children have the most positive and fun educational and social experience possible during their time at Simon Baruch Middle School.

We help keep parents informed and engaged. We organize wildly fun events for students (BOO-ruch Halloween Party, BRRRUCH Winter Festival) for parents (80’s Dance, Comedy Night) and we make sure the faculty and staff at MS104 receive the appreciation they deserve, beginning with the PTA organized Teacher Luncheon last Tuesday.

There were literally zero leftovers. It was perfect.

Shout out to PTA Co-President, Suzy Mody, for organizing the whole thing almost single-handedly, and to Baruch Brigadeers Nandini, Julie, Michelle, and Jackie (and me) for showing up to pitch in with set up and clean up.

You don't have to contribute to everything, but every contribution helps!

The CALENDAR is particularly useful for planning ahead, and can be incorporated into your own Google calendar.

But you'll also find the latest school information, timely announcements, important contacts, assistance with High School admissions, PTA meeting notes, Baruch Blast archives - it's all there.
